Pinky Promises

"Well tell me something. Tell me a lie." I asked him. He thought to himself for a moment and then smiled. "I hate you." He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. I turned to face him. "Now tell me something true." I whispered. "I love you. I could never hurt you and I never will." He finally spoke. I giggled to myself. "Promise?" I stuck my pinky up at him. He intertwined his pinky with mine and leaned in next to my ear. "Promise."

18. "We Need To Talk"

A/N: Yes, it is indeed a shorter chapter than usual, but hey. You'll thank me later!! Enjoy!! (=^.^=)

Harry's POV: That night, I couldn't stop thinking about her. She was basically the only thing on my mind. I didn't even bother grabbing dinner. I just sat on the couch, thinking to myself. Zayn's obviously going to go out with her, and I'm stuck dating Tracie. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of my door being knocked on. I slowly approached it and smiled. It was Zayn.

"Hey! My main mate, Zayn! Big cooper of the ladies! Come in." I shouted, letting him in. He just gave me a puzzled look.

"Hey, Harry. Can we talk?" he asked.

"Why not? Talking is just golly!" I cheered.

"Well first off, are you okay?" he asked me.

"Of course! Next question?"

"Well, it's not a question." he signaled me to sit, and I did so. "Look, I'm not going to go out with her. There's obviously history still between you two that I shouldn't mess with."

"Zayn , no-"

"Harry, yes." I rolled my eyes.

"You like her. I'm sure she likes you and-"

"She doesn't. She can never stop talking about you, Harry. That kiss was just a kiss. It didn't mean anything to her."

"Well did it mean anything to you?" he shook his head, trying not to answer.

"It meant something." he mumbled. I looked at him.

"what do you mean?"

"Well, it meant that I never wanted her to be hurt ever again." I nodded and looked over at my hands.

"Why didn't you ask her out then?" I asked in a low tone.

"Because I knew that once you guys got back together, I wouldn't have to worry." he smiled, nudging at my arm.

"What..?" Zayn winked at me and got up. He waved goodbye and left. What did he mean, we were going to get back together. I shrugged it off and grabbed my phone and keys. I needed to go somewhere.

Olivia's POV: Niall and I were at Kaylie's eating some of her cookies she had bakes for us.

"Oh my god, I should come over more, I've missed your cooking." I whispered, shoving more cookies in my mouth. Niall couldn't speak since he had almost seven cookies in his mouth. Going for the eighth cookie, Kaylie came out with another batch.

"This is heaven!" Niall shouted, adding another cookie into his mouth. That's when the door opened, reveling Harry. He walked into the kitchen, ignoring our presence.

Kaylie's POV: I was baking in the kitchen. Everyone seemed to enjoy my baking lately, so I decided to use my skill to please everyone. I was humming to One Direction's song, Irresistible, and as it was Harry's solo, I heard a voice that had scared me half to death. I turned to see who's angelic voice it was, and it was Harry.
"Oh hey, Harry. Want some of my cookies? I just made some." I suggested, handing him the plate. Instead of taking a cookie from the plate, he decided to drop the plate completely, letting the pieces shatter and the cookies skater everywhere. "Harry!" I giggled, even though it was now a mess on the floor. I didn't mind though, I knew Olivia would clean it up later.

"We need to talk." he told me. His voice was deep, his eyes were dark, and his expression was a bit steamed. I felt a bit nervous.

"Okay, um.. on the balcony maybe?" I asked him. He nodded and followed me out to the balcony. The stars were shining, the sounds of the city cars were around, and the late night breezes were kicking in.

"We have to get something straight." his voice was shaky and a bit sad. I was getting confused.

"Oh, you mean about earlier? Look, Harry. Zayn and I talked about it. I only want to be his friend." I told him. He shook his head.

"No, never mind that. There's a question that's been on both of our minds lately." he said. I sat on the ledge and faced him.

"Oh? And what is that?" I asked him. He got a step closer to me.

"Is there every a chance of us getting back together?" he asked me. Did he just ask what I think he just asked? He noticed by my facial expression that I was confused. He then got even more closer, placing his two hands on the ledge, me being in between his two hands.

Harry's POV:   *"Kaylie, I can't ever get you out of my mind. That night when Tracie and I started dating, we never really were dating. I just didn't know how to respond. I was too much in shock that I was afraid that you would start to freak. You and the pap were so happy for Tracie and I, I just never pulled it off with her. I know I was a bad boyfriend, but I can be a better boyfriend. If you let me, I can make you happy all the time. Babe, it was you and it never was anyone else. It was always you. I love you and... I don't think I ever stopped."

I quickly stopped babbling and pressed my lips on hers. I wrapped my arms around her waist so she wouldn't fall off. I could tell she was now slowly closing her eyes when she started to kiss me back and her arms were wrapped around my neck. She began to kiss me passionately, it was like we were together again for the first time in years. I missed her and I couldn't believe she was back. She pulled away and smiled.

"I love you so much, Harry." she whispered. I smiled, kissing her again. That's when I heard a little cheer from the window. We looked over and saw Niall and Olivia's head sticking out the window and cheering for us. Kaylie giggled and looked into my eyes.

"So... is there?" I asked her. She nodded, giving me a hug. I pulled away and smiled at her. "Kaylie, will you be my girl?" I asked. She smiled and kissed me one last time. She stood up and held my hands.

"Yes Harry, I'll be your girl."
