Pinky Promises

"Well tell me something. Tell me a lie." I asked him. He thought to himself for a moment and then smiled. "I hate you." He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. I turned to face him. "Now tell me something true." I whispered. "I love you. I could never hurt you and I never will." He finally spoke. I giggled to myself. "Promise?" I stuck my pinky up at him. He intertwined his pinky with mine and leaned in next to my ear. "Promise."

16. The Days Have Passed

Harry's POV: After She left, I texted Niall the deats and went to the airport's drinking store. I didn't realize Tracie was following me.

"If I can't have you, I guess no one can." she giggled. I rolled my eyes.

"You sicken me. You're not going to get away with this." i told her. She chuckled, outing her hands n my shoulders to loosen them out.

"Oh, boo. She'll be back. She's madly in love with you." she whispered in my ear, placing a kiss on my neck.

"What are you doing?" I pulled away, looking around. She got closer.

"I know you've missed me." she whispered. I shook my head.

"I'm leaving." I told her, rushing towards the exit. She followed me anyway.

"At least let me call a cab at your place." she had a serious expression now. I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever." I mumbled, getting into my car. we drove to my house and parked in the front. She rushed over to couch to put her coat down and walked back to me.

"This is nice. Us together again. The best of friends!" she cheered. I nodded, but really I was just hoping she would just call her cab and leave. She went to the fridge and grabbed a drink of wine. She sipped on it and walked over to me.

"You know what I was thinking?"  she began.

"What?" I asked, sitting down on the couch. She did as well, but she sat on my lap.

"Us. What happened to that?" she asked.

"Well, you cheated on me with my best mate. Then, you basically destroyed any chance of Kaylie and I getting back together." I told her. She chuckled.

"Because you know that there will always be a chance for us." she whispered, smashing her lips on mine. I pushed her face away.

"What the hell?"

"Oh shut up, I know you missed me." again, she smashed her lips onto mine, adding her tongue. Something told me not to kiss her, but she was right. I did miss her. Something inside told me that I wanted her back, but then I remembered what all she's done to me. All the trust issues that were formed, all the lies that were made. It took me awhile to even trust Kaylie when I first met her. Kaylie... oh god I miss her. I miss her more than I could ever miss Tracie. I pulled away.

"We can't." that's when the door had been knocked on.

"Oh, get that. I need to use the bathroom." she smirked, walking away. I walked over to the door and smiled. It was Kaylie.

"Hey, I didn't expect you to be here." I told her. She shrugged.

"Well, I've been stupid lately. I know you wouldn't cheat on me and I had to have some help to get me to realize it. Anyway, I was wondering if we could talk about this?" She walked herself in, but stopped next to the couch. "Oh, I didn't realize you had company." she mumbled with a smile on her face. I wasn't sure if it was a fake one but I knew she felt awkward.

"Yeah, erm, I kinda with you texted me or something." Tracie walked out of the bathroom and smiled.

"Oh hey, Kaylie. Guess what? I'm in a relationship!" she shouted, swinging her arms around my neck. Wait, did she really just say that? oh my god, are we together? I was so confused. I was interrupted by Kaylie's encouragement.

"Congratulations!..." after I heard that, I was now more confused. Was she happy that I was in this 'relationship' that I didn't know about until a few seconds ago.

"...I uh.. came over to ask if Harry wanted to go back to being.." she stopped, looking into my eyes.

"Awe I know that he would love to be friends again!" she clapped, answering for me. For some reason, I just couldn't say anything. I was speechless on this whole conversation.

"That's great! Well, I really need to get going. I have a lot of stuff back at the hotel I need to do. I'll catch up you two later, yeah?"

"Okay! We'll be seeing you later!" and with that, Kaylie was gone.

"What the hell?"  I asked her, grabbing her coat.

"Well that was fun. So tonight you're taking me to dinner, yes?"

"No! We're not a thing, Tracie. Do you hear?" I rolled my eyes.

"Well considering that the pap just saw us drive here, and the girl of your dreams know you didn't deny dating me. So, looks like we are." she smiled and grabbed her coat from my hands.
"See you tonight." she whispered, getting outside to get a cab.

Kaylie's POV: It has been almost two months since Harry and I broke up and lately, I've been feeling a bit better. I have great friends that help me through it. After we bought an apartment, Olivia's been matching me up with random guys that Niall and her meet when they're out, Zayn comes over everyday to hangout, and Louis and Liam are the best listeners. I still miss Harry to death, but he seems happier now. Today is going to be the first time in two months that me and Harry have been in the same room. We planned a movie night for all of us. It will be Louis and Eleanor, Liam and Danielle, Niall and Olivia, Harry and Tracie, Zayn, and me. Yeah, you probably noticed that both Zayn and I are single. We actually talked about that. We decided to stay friends, though. Just best friends.

Another knock on the door had just occurred and I decided to open the door. It was Harry, of course. He looked up at me and gave me a shy smile.

"Hey." I heard him mumbled. All I could do was smile before Tracie rushed over.

"Hey everyone!" she cheered, walking into the apartment. I looked away from Harry and walked over to Olivia.

"I brought the movies." I heard Harry call behind me. The guys cheered and sat down on the couches. We began to watch 'The Notebook.' During the movie, I got up and went into the kitchen to make everyone some popcorn. That's when Zayn followed.

"How you holding up?" he asked me. I shrugged.

"Not very well, but I guess it's fine if he's happy." I told him.

"Not if you're not happy. Maybe if you tell him how you feel, he'll realize that he misses you."

"It's not that I miss him, I mean I do, but it's not just that. I just don't get why he's with her and not me." I sighed. He then looked me in the eyes.

"Hey, don't do that to yourself. You're a beautiful girl. I know Harry will be running over to you in no time." he gave me a reassuring smile. I looked down in doubt.

"If you say so." I got the bags of popcorn and put them in the bowls. Zayn chuckled and grabbed my hands.

"I know so. Why are you so doubtful?" He asked me.

"Because I don't get it. Why are those dumb Disney fairytales not like lifetime?" he thought for a moment.

"Because fairytales don't exist, hun." he tells me.  We walk into the living room to see the group still watching the movie. We each handed them a bowl to share and then sat together on the couch. He put his arm around me, looking into my eyes. I smiled and looked at the telly. He usually does this when we watch movies. For some reason, I don't mind it. I know he's not trying to make a move. We've already discussed this. I did often glance over at Harry, but he seemed to be enjoying the movie like everyone else. I really did miss him. I wish he would just realize how much I want him back. He seems happy now, sometimes I feel as if he's happier with her than he ever was with me.
