Pinky Promises

"Well tell me something. Tell me a lie." I asked him. He thought to himself for a moment and then smiled. "I hate you." He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. I turned to face him. "Now tell me something true." I whispered. "I love you. I could never hurt you and I never will." He finally spoke. I giggled to myself. "Promise?" I stuck my pinky up at him. He intertwined his pinky with mine and leaned in next to my ear. "Promise."

34. Doctor's Appointment

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I chuckled, turning it off. It was only 7:30am. I grabbed a towel and hopped in the shower. I shampooed, conditioned, soaped, dressed, and whipped a few of the hairs to stay in place. I quietly rushed over to Kaylie's hotel room and began opening the door, but it was locked. I sighed and knocked quietly. A few seconds had passed when the door opened. Kaylie was wearing skinny jeans were a loose sweatshirt and flats. Her hair was in a messy bun and her eyes were beautiful. I've never seen them without makeup.

"Wow." is all I said. I quickly bit my lip, hoping she didn't think I sounded like an idiot. She giggled, though, with a smile on her face.

"Yeah, I didn't know what to wear, so I just put on a few loose clothes. anyway, You ready to head out?" She asked me. I nodded, reaching out my angled arm for her to wrap hers around. And she did. We walked down to the car and smiled. I rushed to her side and opened the door.

"Why thank you." she smirked, sitting in the front. I closed her door and as I walked to my side, I saw a few paps walking over. Oh god.

"Where are you and Kaylie going?" one of them asked. I didn't answer.

"Are you guys back together?" another asked. I bit my lip again, trying to not say anything.

"We heard you beat your ex." another said. I stopped in my tracks, looking at them.

"I would never hit a woman. Can you please go. We're in a hurry." I opened my door and sat in the car.

"Harry, Where are you guys going?" one of them asked again. I slammed my door and began to drive real fast out of the parking lot, scaring Kaylie a bit.

"What was that about?" she asked me. I shook my head.

"Nothing. They need to mind their own god damn business." I answered. She nodded and stayed quiet. It was silent until we got to the hospital. When she hopped out, she didn't move. She just looked at the building, a bit nervous. I looked into her eyes. "You okay?" I asked her.

"Have I ever told you that I don't like hospitals?" she mentioned with a shy smirk. I shook my head, chuckling at her.

"Why don't you?"

"Because I just don't. There's so many germs." she pointed out. I grabbed her hand, intertwining my fingers with hers.

"You're going to have to get use to it." I smiled, walking her into the building. She rested in the waiting section while I walked over to the lady in the chair.

"May I help you?" she asked, very nicely.

"Yes, I'm here for Kaylie Sitter." I mentioned. She checked out her notepad and smiled.

"You may take her into the other room." she smiled. I began to turn when she stopped me.

"You know, I'm a huge fan of your music. Maybe you can come over and sing to me some time." she winked. I gave her the most annoyed face.

"Are you seriously going there?" I asked her. She looked puzzled.

"Well the magazines say you're single." she smiled. I shook my head. I walked over to Kaylie and intertwined my fingers with her. I smiled at the woman, who seemed a bit shocked.

"Now if you will excuse me, we have a baby to check out." I smirked, walking Kaylie into the other room. Kaylie smiled and looked up at me.

"Okay, do I even want to know?" she asked. I shook my head, walking into the room. There was a bed-chair thing for her to sit in while I sat in the stool. It was a bit quiet for awhile. I looked over, noticing the monitor that the baby would be shown in.

"In just a few moments, our baby will be on that screen. We will actually be able to see if it's a boy or a girl... right? Because Eleanor said you were and I was just curious" I asked her. She bit her lip.

"I think it's still a bit too soon. I'm only fifteen weeks. I need to be around seventeen." she said. I got up off the doctor's stool, nodded, and grabbed her hand.

"Either way, I'm excited." I told her. She smiled at me and looked over at the door to see a male doctor walk in.

"Good morning. Are you ready for the examination?" he asked us.

"Yes sir." I cheered. Kaylie giggled as the man sat down on the stool. He lifted Kaylie's shirt a bit, reveling some of her tummy. I giggled at her. She stayed perfectly calm as if she's done this before. She probably has if she's around fifteen weeks. He then had put some of this stuff on her tummy so he could scan her. When he did so, the screen began to show a little baby. Kaylie gasped, looking closer to it. I stood next to her, holding her hand. We looked at the screen in awe and smiled.

"They're beautiful." I whispered. I could feel a little tear in my eye forming. I wiped it away, hoping that it wouldn't form any more. The doctor told us some things to do at home and we took probably half an hour to talk.

"Now you may try out some therapy classes if you deicide to but I recommend that you think about it. Come back in two weeks and we can probably tell what gender the baby is." He smiled, helping Kaylie out. Kaylie grabbed my hand and smiled.

"Thank you. We'll be back." she told him.

"Hopefully not too soon." He joked, chuckling. We walked out and into the parking lot. Wow, we were actually having a baby. I was actually going to be a father. I started to tear up again, and this time the tears were actually falling. Kaylie noticed and her jaw dropped.

"Oh Harry, don't cry." She then embraced me into a hug. I totally lost it.

"I'm sorry. It's just that..." I couldn't finish. She pulled away, wiping my face. She smiled.

"Awe Harry. You're so emotional." she whispered, wiping my face some more. I took a deep breathe in, nodding.

"I'm okay now. I'm sorry." I started, looking at her.

"I've never seen you cry like this before." She told me. I nodded, shrugging as well.

"I just can't believe we're having a baby." I whispered, looking into her eyes. She looked into mine and smiled. It was silent for a bit until I looked away, clearing my throat. "Hey, I was wondering just now if you wanted to probably eat over at my place for a night. You know, catch up with things." I suggested. She smiled.

"Oh Styles, how could I say no to someone who just spent a few minutes crying his eyes out." she joked. I rolled my eyes.

"I don't understand why you didn't cry." I told her. She giggled with me, walking closer to the car.

"Well my mood swings haven't kicked in. Yours probably have by now." She joked again. I opened her door and she sat in. "Yes."

"Yes... what?" I asked her.

"I'll come over to dine with you. To catch up." she told me. I smiled, kissing her cheek. That's all I could really do right now. I closed her door and smiled. When I got in, we drove down the street until we got to the hotel. Thankfully there were no paparazzi anywhere. I helped her walk in and over to her hotel room door.

"Thanks for coming with me." She said. I nodded.

"Of course. I told you I'd always be here." I then shook my head and looked deep into her eyes. "Actually, I promised you I'd always be here." I finished. She smiled at me, kissing my cheek. Her kiss sent butterflies all around my stomach.

"Text me whenever you want to hang."

"I will."
