Brooke, a sophomore girl who never got noticed by people in school and at home. Her parents always yelled and got her in trouble. She tried to hide her pain with long sleeves and bracelets. Her brother, Casey, a senor, was the only one who really cared about her. Her life gets worse and worse until she finds out about a band that changes her life.

5. Cleaning Up

    >>No one's P.O.V.<<

Everyday on Spring Break, Brooke has to clean the whole house from when the sun rises till the sun sets.  Only one break to eat.  On a couple of the days, Casey would try and help before their dad caught him.  Brooke was always afraid of getting in trouble again so she always did exactly what her dad asked her to.  Anytime her dad was home, she'd try and stay as far as possible away from him.  If he was in the kitchen, she would go into the living room to dust or vacuum.  If he was watching TV, she would go and clean the kitchen.  Her mother didn't really care what happened, she just followed what his rules were.  She said she loved him, but Brooke knew he got her brain-washed into thinking that.

Brooke had started cutting again because she felt like she had nothing good in her life again.  No music, no friends, no nothing.  She easily forgot about going to the CD signing in three weeks.  The cleaning and cutting kept her mind occupied.

At the end of the day, Brooke would cry herself to sleep and most of the time , wake up crying.  She felt like that this was her life now:  Being her father's slave.
