He Loves Me Not

Paige has been torn over and over. Taken away from her family, lied to, and abused by her crazy boyfriend she is miserable. Will she be able to escape? Will she be reunited with her family? Will she be able to have a relationship after all she has been through? Will anything ever be the same?

25. Maddie

Paige's POV

I was an idiot. So stupid. How did I forget the bracelet?! Ugh.
"Hey P?" Niall called out.
I frowned at his casual tone and new nickname for me.
"What?" I snapped, all of a sudden angry at everything and everyone, especially myself.
"It's gonna be ok..." He said with a weak smile.
"How do you know that, Niall? Nothing is gonna be ok, ever. I'm like a piece of trash, unwanted and ugly. All I do is make people cringe away in disgust because I'm such a problem!" I looked at him, angrily.
"You're not unwanted. You're not disposable, Paige." He whispered.
"Tell that to everyone else." I sobbed.
"Shh. I don't know you too well, but the girl who I've learned to love in the past week is pretty amazing." He calmed me.
"Thank you." I sighed, cuddling up to his side, all anger gone.
"How could a guy ever hurt someone as precious as you?" He mumbled.
"You don't know much about me... Or Nate, do you?" I chuckled, asking a rhetorical question.
"Obviously not." He nodded.
I got up, pulling Niall behind me, back into my room.
I went to one of the drawers and pulled out a fresh stack of Vogue magazines that were from this month... The one that contained my story.
"Here, give one of these to the others and yourself, then turn to the page written by the anonymous person about abuse, then read it, and then come find me." I instructed, handing him five copies and tossing the rest back into the drawer.
"Alright..." Niall frowned, walking back downstairs.
I waited until he was gone to begin fixing up my room, attempting to decide what to do about my bracelet...
One person came to mind: Maddie.
She had gotten me the bracelet and helped me add to it as much as she could before...
"Liam move over!" Louis's voice filled the house.
I dropped my thoughts about Maddie and moved to the boys.
They were crazy, immature, successful, attractive, and seemed like my friends at the moment (Liam obviously was). Something kept warning me to stay back from them though... I couldn't be sure if they were who I thought.
Then again, people never are.
