Love Only Exists In Stories

When a girl Marie moves to California with her god parents after her parents death, she is unsure if she will be able to fit in. Her high school is different, her neighborhood isn't as simple and the people are hard to be around but after a certain boy introduces himself and she gets to know his friends, nothing can seem more unrealistic than what she is doing.

6. Dont tell me

"I still don't appreciate it." Stacy screamed.

"I don't care what you appreciate or don't appreciate. You may be my guardians but that doesn't give you the right to control me like this." I raised my voice higher and it echoed off the walls in the open room.

"That is why we're here Marie, and you have no choice." Did he really....

"No, I have a choice. I will leave when I want because I'm 16 and I'm meant to be on my own aren't I? And you're not here to control me, that's why I had parents! Your just here to make sure I don't kill myself in the process. Don't ever say that your going be my parents because you weren't even an uncle Mitch, says a lot about how you live around here doesn't it?" I walked off without another word, Stacy called after me and Mitch couldn't do anything to save himself from my argument. Yes it was harsh but what else am I supposed to do about the situation, lie? I sat on the bed with the door closed and the light off to play the "I'm sleeping" card. I looked out my window, it was darker outside than I left the square with Jason, but the moon was close tonight. I saw a few stars and distant city lights, I finally tried going to sleep.

*Somewhere between too late to talk and too early to be alive*

I woke slowly to a tapping. I heard it from the door first, probably Stacy trying to talk to me. I looked over at my clock and saw it was ten past 4, too early to talk. Then the same tapping on my window. I didn't know if I was going to get kidnapped from the window tonight but I knew I was going to check it out. I didn't have a weapon but I slowly walked over to the window. Just like the movies, I moved to the side of the window and tried to peer in from there. I had only a second to see a person dressed in all black was climbing the wall up to my room before I tried to scream. A hand went over my mouth and a voice said something I couldn't hear, but I don't think I wanted to know.

"Before you do anything, Its Jason." He soothed.

"I didn't expect that your form of kidnap involved jumping in through the window of a person you met today and holding her down."

"Not typically, normally involves chloroform. But your special, decided to spare you."

"Is there a reason your in my room trying to kidnap me anyway?" I questioned, but to be honest I felt it was going to turn out to be one of those cliché romantic scenes.

"I'm going to take you out." I was right.

"Out where? Outside? Not my thing, I'm one to stay inside and surf the internet for cat videos and funny pictures." One day this sarcasm is going to be the death of me. I heard him laugh behind me and back away so it felt easier to cope with a kidnapping.

"So what did you have in mind Jason?"

"You'll see when I get there." He said slowly.

"When we get there or when you figure it out?" I knew he was still formulating a plan.

"Both." Another smile. He really had a thing for smiling. He had turned back to the window and climbed out. I couldn't leave through  the front door or I'd get caught so what better option. I had fallen asleep in my clothes and they only looked a little crumpled, so what was stopping me? I climbed after him. he had already made it to the bottom, I was too busy looking at him on the ground to realize I was still in the air. My hand faltered and my foot slipped on a loss rock in the wall. I didn't scream to keep my cover but gasped as I fell for the second story. I hit something soft and warm, as I hit it the thing wrapped around me. I looked up and saw Jason was holding me.

"Nice catch." I smiled.

"I know." One more smile, eventually those would get on my nerves.
