The sudden sound fills every ear

As listeners' hearts are crushed with fear.

The awful smoke engulfs the crowd.

Death himself has wrapped his shroud.

 

A second boom brings much despair,

As souls are gone that once were there.

Pools of red lead to rivers of sorrow.

Those who lie dead have been robbed of tomorrow.

 

The pain in my chest, I notice it now.

I sink to my knees, my thoughts hit the ground.

A breath that I miss, my heart skips a beat.

My arms lose their weight, I fall into sleep.
