Song of the Hopeless

Sing the song, Sing this song! Just a poem that has an Italian sonnet in it that I wrote up and I hope you like it. (faves, likes, comments are appreciated- constructive criticism even more so!) Might be entered into the 'Afterlife' competition as well, while I'm at it as just one of my entries (this one being the first to enter). It was originally going to be entitled: "Song of the Corrupt" but changed- if you like the other title though, please say so in the comments.

1. Song of the Hopeless

Sing the song,

Sing this song!

Come with me, Oh! Pain’s delight;

Come with me, Oh! Shadow’s fright,

Meet me alone, Darkest Night.

Sing the song,

Sing this song!

I see the blood down the hall:

Bitter blood bound by the haze;

Sweep and take me in this maze,

For I seek my blackened soul.

Hear my voided, empty call:

Bitter blood rejoiced by praise;

Now my own will set ablaze,

For I am saved and share all.

So when this is crystal clear,

And you see my Mark of Spring;

Leave behind your shattered fear.

What once was mine: left on string.

My own soul is pure and near;

Where oh now has gone the sting?

Sing the song,

Sing this song!

Leave from me, Oh! Pain’s delight;

Leave from me, Oh! Shadow’s fright,

Meet no more; I’ve found the Light.

Sing the song,

Sing this song!
