This story is a mystery,a bit scary, fantasy and romance book.

5. Window

He is standing there, watching me well...he was. Tobias Huntington, was at the house, he could of been the one who opened the door, he could of been the one who was making the thudding noise. He could have killed me. How could I have not seen him? He was there in that window; I took a picture of him. But the thing that really rattled me...why didn’t he kill me? I mean I was there; I came into his home for goodness sake. All he had to do was creep up on me, and that would have been the end for Willow Taylor. There must be a reason why he didn’t come. Is he trapped? Is there someone there that could of done the killing not Tobias? No, he is the murder it is a well known fact.

I trace my finger along the house till I get to him.  ‘OW!!’ Taking my finger of there is a small red mark. I run to the bathroom, the pain increases as the cold water numbs it. Could this day get any worse? First I got a mysterious note and thought someone had come into my house. Then I got attacked by birds, got locked in a murder house and now I burnt my finger on a picture of Tobias Huntington. Honestly bad luck or what?

Birds chirp in the trees behind my house. Sunlight makes rainbows on my floor. My eyes flutter open, it was just a dream oh I how I wish it was. That night I had a dream that I was locked in the manor. Tobias had found me and burned me to ash. I woke to beads of sweat dripping down my face. The thing that scared me though, was that this happened the very next day and I went back. For some strange and idiotic reason, but the thing is....deep down I do want to go back. It has made me so curious to why and what happened in that house. Curiosity is a stupid thing! Why can’t I just be scared and not go back again? Curiosity, has got the better of me, I really want to go back. Stupid, I know.

Present time at Huntington Manor:

‘The girl, she was there. Why didn’t she see me? Why couldn’t she hear me call? I helped her get out. She can’t be found by him, he is dangerous, murderous. My enemy, the one who blamed me for the death of my family. Why won’t she see me? Will she come back and help me? No, she was scared...petrified why would she come to a place she ran from? None of this makes sense.’

‘Izzy is here darling!’

‘Send her up!

‘Oh my gosh, thank god your alive!’ Izzy came bustling into my room. Her faces red and has streams down it.

‘Have you been crying?’ She comes and joins me on my bed.

Rubbing at her eyes. ‘Has it ruined my makeup?’ We both burst out laughing, I so needed a good laugh because of yesterday.

‘No your fine, why were you crying?’

She blushes. ‘I was scared if you were dead, then I rang this morning and your mum said you were here so I cried...with happiness of course.’ She called my mum!

‘What did you tell my mum? You didn’t tell her about the manor did you?’ If she found out, I would be grounded and taken of the team because it would be too dangerous for her little girl.

‘Whoa! Hold your horses, no I didn’t. I just said is Willow there and she was like yeah.’ I sighed a sigh of relief. ‘So, how was it? You really scared me when you hanged up.’

Remembering what happened made me shudder. ‘Yeah it died on me. Promise you won’t tell anyone’ I started to recite what happened from detail to detail. She gasped at the right time, shuddered with me. By the end her mouth was gaping open.

‘Where is this picture?’ I put all the pictures in a folder except for that one. It was under my bed wrapped in an old t-shirt.

‘Here,’ I unfolded the t-shirt and the picture fluttered out. ‘Just be careful don’t touch his face.’ My thumb burned at the thought of it.

Izzy gingerly picked the picture; she stared at the image right in his face. ‘He’s hot isn’t he?’ She giggled. I kept a straight face, yes he was very hot I had to agree but knowing what he did-didn’t impress me at all. ‘Ouch!’

‘Why did you touch it I told you not to?’ Izzy had her forefinger in her mouth, tears dared to fall. Quickly wiping them she said: ‘I was curious.’ See curiosity is not the best thing, it can sometimes be okay but in this situation it is not.

After numbing her finger, Izzy started to tell me about what happened with her and Henry the other night.

Her cheeks went crimson again. ‘Well like I told you on Friday, he came over looking for you. He was pretty miffed off. I told him you were busy, so we can do something. And he was like okay. So we talked for a bit then he started to flirt and was like do you want to get something to eat and I was like okay. So we went to the pizza shop got a pizza and came home and watched a film. We may have kissed but not a lot and he went home.’

‘Hmm, I believe that.’ We burst out laughing again.

‘Cross my heart hun, I am a good girl.’
