29. Chapter 28

It's Monday morning. After a long weekend this is your demise. You don't want that alarm to go off. You don't want to jump into the cold shower. You don't want to talk to the people you haven't seen since Friday night because you know what you did what wrong. They didn't know what you do. Honestly, you and the one you shared your night with know what happened behind closed doors or under the sheets. Was the risk worth it?

All the 1D Birds, minus Louis, and all the Little Ladies, minus Demi, were feeling this way. They had all hooked up in a way or another with the rival. Louis and Demi had already felt their guilt for the entire summer.

Jade swung her legs off her bed after hitting her alarm. Niall dropped her off at her house early Saturday morning but that didn't mean she was in the clear.

Her mother was in the kitchen when she walked in wearing 'too little' as her father would have said. Jade's father expected nothing less than appropriate business attire for Jade at all times. Skin was not a thing to be shown for the boys to fall over at.

A punishment had been decreed where she wouldn't be allowed to participate in the big music festival the school was producing. The worst part was she wasn't even allowed to tell the girls about it until she got to school.

Jade quickly showered and got dressed. Her father was downstairs waiting to take her to school as she pulled her hair up. She hardly ever wore her hair up but she didn't care today.

"Jade," her father knocked on her door as she grabbed her bag.

"Yes?"

"Go tell your friends you won't be needing their ride to school anymore."

Jade wanted to cry from embarrassment. This was the worst thing he could ever make her do.

"Do it now Jade!" he yelled through the door.

Jade yanked the door open and ran down the stairs. Her bag flopping as her feet beat on the stairs. Her father still standing at her doorway.

Perrie was in the car with the rest of the girls luckily.

"Go!" Jade yelled as she jumped in the backseat.

"What?" they asked in unison.

"Just go!" she repeated pointing at her father who was coming out the front door after he realized what Jade was doing.

Perrie threw the car into reverse and sped away quickly not wanting to hear the rest of the story before they were safely away from Jade's house.

"What the hell Jade?" Jesy asked once they were on the road toward school.

"I'm not suppose to talk to you all anymore," she muttered.

"What?!?" the four of them screamed as Perrie chose to pull off the road.

"What do you mean?" Leigh-Anne asked.

"You're joking right?" Demi sounded panicked.

"I'm not joking," Jade's voice was quiet.

"Wait, you texted me saying your parents wanted you home?" Perrie sounded confused. "Why were they mad then? You went home? Didn't you?"

Jade remembered that she had sent Perrie that text. Then she remembered she saw Jesy and Harry hooking up outside the house, the night of the party.

"I had to walk. They were pretty angry," Jade said.

"You could have called Perrie! She would have taken you home!" Demi's voice shook while she yelled. "You just ruined our chance of winning! You are the worst Jade!"

"Shut up Demi!" Jesy spat. "Her parents are the worst. She didn't have control of it!"

Jade assumed Jesy was worried that someone knew something. Or maybe she really wasn't so bad after all.

"I'm sorry girls," Jade wiped a tear away. "I got home too late. I should have called Perrie but I didn't know where anybody was."

Jade felt bad for lying but unless Jesy admitted where her night was spent then she wasn't about to give up the details of her night.

"We will figure something out," Perrie reassured the girls as she started the car again.

"Wait," Jesy sighed. "I need to tell you all something before we get to school."

"What is it?" Perrie asked putting the car back into park.

"It's about the night of the party. I feel really bad because I could have been there for Jade but I wasn't," Jesy bit her lip nervously.

"What do you mean?" Leigh-Anne asked.

"I was hooking up with someone. It wasn't intended. I just went for a smoke and yeah."

"Who?" the car echoed minus Jade's voice.

"Harry," Jade let the name slip from her mouth.
