Lauren Mett, a 19 year old college student who just wants to live life to the fullest and be happy, is stressed out about finals and her tragic breakup with her boyfriend. As she is driving to college she gets a text from the worst person possible. Frustrated and feeling the tears stream down her face she closes her eyes for a second. The next thing she knows her car is nose to nose with another. Totaled cars, trips to the hospital, and both barely injured, Harry and Lauren both come out alive.
It all feels like a dream, but what happens when they wake up?

14. Walking

He needed to find a way home.  But which home?  He and Lauren had become inseparable since the crash and they had been bouncing around from his house to hers.  It never really mattered to him where they were; as long as he was with her he was happy.

He thought back to just a week ago when he was lying with her on the couch, and they were watching scary movies.  He never really realized how much he loved her, but it was more than he could possibly explain.

She was different.  He wasn’t sure what it was about her that made her so different, but he was determined to find her and make sure she knew just how much he loved her. Maybe it was her personality; full of laughter and always fun to be around, or maybe it was the fact that she was so smart and always said the right things?

He wasn’t really sure.  He looked around and realized he had been walking in the wrong direction the whole time he had been thinking.  He turned on his heel swiftly and began walking back in the other direction.

Then his mind went back to thinking.  He went back to the day that Louis visited.  It was the last time he had seen any of the boys and it has been weeks.  He was starting to worry about them, but he knew they were all probably busy writing songs for the album like he should have been.  But wouldn’t they want to check on me? I was just in the hospital. Did Lauren tell them? Do they care? Thoughts kept playing in his mind, thoughts that he should know weren’t true, but he just felt so alone.

He needed her back in his life.  It had been a mere two days and he was already falling apart.  How was he going to survive when he went on tour?

They had been separated before, but it was never for longer than a day.  Neither of them were really doing anything in the time they had been together, besides Lauren going to classes and them spending time together.

He had never felt like this about a girl before.  It’s like she was all he cared about anymore.  But it was a reasonable feeling since she was the only person he had seen for the past month and a half.  He felt like she was the only person who actually cared about him since he hadn’t heard from anyone else.

He looked up and saw the familiar surroundings. His flat was around the corner, and Lauren’s house was down the next street.  He thought back to the day they went to her house.

‘Um if you guys want to come in you can. Um I think my roommate might be home but I don’t think she will mind.’  In all of the times he had been to Lauren’s house he had never met her roommate, and she had only been mentioned that one time.  Maybe they got in a fight and she moved out? Maybe she went home to visit family and decided to come back?  The unknown roommate was just another thing that he added to the list of things he needed to ask her about.

As he walked up to his flat building, he sighed and looked at the boring exterior.  He made his way through the door and up the steps up to his door.  He grabbed the spare key that he had hidden behind the door jam and let himself in.  The smell of her perfume hung in the air still, reminding him of her even more. As he walked into his bedroom, he noticed that it looked and felt emptier.  He looked in the drawer where she had some of her things for when she came over. Empty.

He ran his hands through his curls not sure of what to do.  He went over to the nightstand on her side and opened that drawer too.  Nothing.  The emptiness bothered him.  He slammed the drawer shut causing the alarm clock to fall off.

He sat on the bed in frustration still pulling on his hair. He laid back on the bed so that his arms were folded behind his head and his legs were hanging off the edge until he slowly drifted off to sleep.

Sorry for the long time without an update!!! I decided to write a longer chapter to make it up to you guys!!

I'm not really sure if you guys read these but if you do comment your favorite song!!

Also I have decided to re-write 'The Mystery Girl' so if you would like to be a character comment things like your personality, hair color, eye color, style, etc.  I'm not sure at the moment when I am going to start re-writing it (could be today, could be after I finish this book) But I have some good ideas that I would like to incorporate!!

Love ya!!
