1. Chapter 1

The boat shuddered and a huge crashing sound met Dilly's ears as she rolled off her bed.

"What the...?" she cried, furious at being awoken. Creaking, groaning and rocking back and forth, the boat made her sway when she attempted to stand. Steadying herself, she grabbed a pair of dirty blue jeans and tugged them onto her bare legs, scraped her messy brown hair into a pony and reached for a breakfast bar. She was ravenous.

"Goddamn it!" she yelled as orange juice sloshed all over the wooden planks. Dilly knew her parents wouldn't be in so she just left the orange liquid running around on the floor. Grasping onto the walls, she made her way towards the deck.

Oh, lucky me. The boat's crashed. Ha ha ha. Sarcasm, Dilly.

As she went past the mirror in the hallway, she caught her reflection. Limp, brown hair. Chocolate eyes. Average figure for a fourteen year old girl; nothing special there. Pale, pale skin; full, red lips. Nose slightly upturned. She hated her image and snarled at it as she hurried to the deck. Reaching the cold air, she took a deep breath. Then choked as her eyes met the sight in front of her. Wedged on a massive rock was the boat she stood on.

Wow. I was only joking. How fun will this be? Ha ha ha, sarcasm, Dilly.

She called for the Captain of the ship. And again. And again.

Where is the useless thing?

She stepped up to the navigation cabin and peered in. Dilly was not a light hearted girl; she almost fainted. The Captain was gone.

From her perch in the treetops, Elloë witnessed the entire crashing of The Stormbranch. With wide eyes, she stared worriedly down at the mess of a ship below and slightly in front of her. Muttering quietly, she dropped down from the branches, the leaves rustling in her presence. Reaching the sandy ground, Elloë took a speedy glance around her, checking for intruders and other life forms. Satisfied she was alone, she took off in the opposite direction to the shipwreck.
