3. Big News

I was currently walking to the arena where we had our final audition today. I was excited. This morning I actually woke up happy, especially cause nobody was home. While getting ready, I belted out the lyrics to We Are Who We Are by Little Mix. They were currently blaring through my ear phones. By the time the song was over I was standing outside of the arena. I was suddenly nervous as I stepped into the building.

"Alright Girls, I need 56, 55, 54, 53 and 52 to come up on stage. You will be going first." Shouted the ladies at the judging table. I slipped out of my black sweatpants, put on my jazz shoes and quickly hopped up to get on the stage. They started the music and we started the routine that I have come to know by heart. Soon enough the my part for the four eight counts came up, I had practiced this most of the night working on my piece so it looked effortless.

"Good job girls! You may leave, we will call you if you made it." The lady, from earlier, said to us will showing up a smile.

I quickly left and hurried to Nandos for my first day on the job. As I walk into the restaurant I was handed a uniform. I changed and left my clothes and other items in the employee room.

"Ah, Ms. Green. You will be learning to work the cash register today." My boss told me as he guided me up to the register. It took him a total of twenty minutes to get me to catch on how to work the machine. After that he left alone to my business, as a customer came in through the door.

"Um, I'll have the peri-peri chicken meal." I typed in this person's order and looked up to come face to face with the same guy who asked me if I was from Mulingar.

"That will, um, 6 pounds." I say while looking down towards the counter trying to not make any eye contact whatsoever. He slips me the amount he owed and also a piece of paper as well. I put away the money and hand him his food before looking at the piece of paper. Written on the paper was 'Call me sometime xx' with his number written below.
