Heaven Sent

Blue eyes, dark hair over one eye, pale skin...
Who is the mysterious boy that saved Nahla on the night of the fight?
Why is he here? For her sake? Well, Roux is no ordinary guy... Doing what he does is difficult. Not to break the law, bend the rules, to be with her... but, they can get away with it. Can't they?...

18. Roux

Nahla, where is she? I hope she is OK and they don't test her too harshly. I'm shivering as Marshall leads me down the corridor, through the great, oak, double doors and into the 'Saint Paul's Court Of Angelic Justice.' White tables, white chairs, and stalls all around. The prosecutors are, Marshall and his team and everyone on my side are... me. Just me. If you think about it, its very unfair! Not giving me a leg to stand on in this argument and it's clear that Marshall is going to win. To have his way.

The jury are slowly, filing into their seats by the desk of the high-judge. Grimacing, in all their fine but colourless attire. I know they are all thinking the same thing: Who brought it to this? Me. Who broke the law three times in less than two weeks? Me. Who shamed all his own people into dis pare? Me.

The boy in the quirky t shirt, the floppy, stupid hair. The one that could not care less about how the laws are set out, specifically so it would not come to this, in the first place!

The disappointment, the down-fall of respect, the frustration, the tearfulness, the shame.
