Twice the Tomlinson

Keegan's not overly fond of her brother. He left. But now he's back, and he has no idea why she hates him so much. Can he get her to forgive him? And what'll happen when she is sent on tour with him? What happens when 5 Seconds of Summer is thrown into the mix?

10. Bad News

I opened and began typing descriptions and adding pictures. It was an open auction, which meant there was no set price, people would just bid. Once all my items were up for sale, I exited out.

Mom had taken the week off work to be with me, thinking that I might do something crazy after the funeral. But no. I just sat around on the couch, watching movies and eating popcorn. After a few days, she began working from home. The funeral was on Sunday, and the first buyer showed up at my door on Friday. I lead him up to my room and handed him the guitar, not bothering to tell my mom. Both Friday and Saturday was filled with people coming to our house. I sold both my guitars, my drums, my audio equiptment, and evrything that had to do with me making music. I got a good few thousand pounds out of the sales, as well as a few strange looks from my mom.

Late Saturday evening, Mom came and sat in front of the TV, turning it off. "What?" I had no idea why she was wearing that stern expression.

"We need to talk."

"About...?" I had my ideas, but I wanted to hear it from her.

"No thanks." I hated emotional conversations, which is why I had refused the counsilor my mother had recommended after Jules's deaht.

"Keegan Adelaid Tomlinson, this is serious!" I drew back at her tone; she hardly ever raised her voice. She took a deep breath, trying to regain her calm. "You've been acting very different since Julianna..." She lowered her gaze as mine hardened. I did not want to talk about this. "You even sold your music stuff."

"You hated that I wanted to go into music anyways, so what's the bid deal?" I shrugged, not really caring.

"The point is, it's something you love. And you spent years aquiring it all. And now it's all gone." Her gaze softened and I could read the sympathy there. "Jules was special, I know that. But you don't have to throw everything away just because she's gone."

"Mom, I don't care anymore. I'll go to Uni. I'll get a job. Life goes on."

She took a deep breath, then looked me straight in the eyes. "Go pack your things."

"What! You're throwing me out?" I couldn't believe she'd send me out simply because I was a little different.

"Not directly, no. I'm sending you to stay with Louis. Maybe traveling the world will give you an idea of how much is left in it." Her logic was sound, but stupid.

I stood, furious. "No. No way. I am not going to live on a bus with five boys. Especially not when those five boys are One Direction. You can't make me!"

She rose too, however, she was calm. "Keegan, my mind is made up. I already called Louis and one of the boys' security team members will meet you at the airport and fly with you to Ireland, where the boys currently are. This will be good for you."

"You will do as I say." Her tone became stern again and I knew there was no room to argue.

"When do I leave?"

She checked her watch. "Three hours. So I suggest you pack fast. Oh, and you can leave your boot at home now; your two weeks are up."

At least something good came out of it. I stomped upstairs, livid that she was making me go live with Louis. I already knew how awful this would be...
