This is poetry from a very hard period of my life. I hope you enjoy. Some are happy some are morbid.

10. Why Can't I be your Hero?

Little girl.
Left all alone.
Wondering why her daddy,
Never calls her anymore.

She reaches out to all the wrong people.
Slowly she's changing before
My very eyes.

Little girl.
Left all alone.
Wondering why her daddy.
Never calls her anymore.

She cries every night.
But holds tears back,
When she knows People.
Can hear her, in her weakest moments.

Little girl,
Left all alone,
You don't need your daddy to call you.
I'm right here.
Why can't you see.
That I can be your hero (Why can't I be your hero?)

Little girl.
Left all alone,
To stare out her open window.
She's left to wonder,
To blame herself for her,
Father's mistakes.

Little girl.
Left all alone.
Please,
Sweet little girl,
Why can't I be your Hero?
