Mixing Up Love

Christina is an average girl who sees nothing special in herself. She enters a contest for a meet and greet with the girls of Little Mix. When she wins and gets to know a certain one what will happen?

18. Chapter 16

Christina pushed her head back against the brick wall and thought about how stupid she was. Jesy was sure to never even contact her again. Lucky for Christina she had her wallet and probably could afford a plane ticket back across the country to reality. What was happening right now with Jesy was just a fantasy that she couldn't keep imagining.

"Want a cig?" a sweet voice mumbled.

"No thanks. I don't smoke," Christina said pulling herself together to make herself look like she wasn't vulnerable.

"Alright then. Justin," he said coming closer and extending his hand.

"Christina," she mumbled shaking his hand.

"You okay?"

Christina wanted to scream. Wanted to tell the entire world she didn't enjoy this one bit. Jesy didn't bother to tell the rest of the girls her feelings and it backfired. It made Christina look completely stupid.

"Yeah," is all she said though because she didn't know this guy and he didn't deserve to hear her problems.

"Okay then," he said going back into the shadows.

Christina kicked off her heels and stood there trying not to cry. Everything was crashing and she didn't like the way she was feeling.

"You're brave," Justin laughed.

"Why is that?"

"There is so much shit back here and you take off your shoes," Justin flicked his cigarette onto the ground. He stepped on it to make sure it was no longer burning. "But I will see you later," he said walking toward the parking garage across the street.

Christina felt completely stupid for doing this but she followed him. After a few steps she knew it was a bad idea to not have shoes on. She quickly slipped them back on.

"Wait Justin!" she yelled to him.

Justin turned around and laughed at her trying to avoid the obstacles of the alley way.

"Do you need help?" he barely managed to get out because he was laughing so hard.

"I'm fine," she laughed realizing how stupid she probably looked right now. "Do you know how far the nearest airport is from here?"

"About half an hour, depending on traffic. Considering it's close to one am I'd say straight shot, why?"

"I kinda need to get there as soon as possible," Christina bit her lip knowing this was the most awkward conversation she was ever going to have.

"Well, if you want I can give you a ride there," Justin must have noticed the scared expression that crossed Christina's face. "Ha, don't worry. I won't kill you. I'm going there anyway. I have a flight to Washington D.C at six am. I'll even show you my ticket if you want."

"Thanks. It'd be nice and that's probably the flight I'll be on," Christina felt like this was an odd coincidence. But, she hadn't mentioned where she was from so it's not like he was just saying these things.

"Alright well let's go then," Justin turned around, shoved his hands in his pockets, and began walking again.

Christina was practically running in the heels to keep up with his long strides. Christina stopped for a minute and wondered if she should really leave with this stranger.

'Oh well. Jesy doesn't care anyway' she thought before running to catch up with Justin again.
