1. What Makes You Beautiful

Ella's P.O.V

I couldn't sit still for more than two seconds. Louis was finally coming home! He'd been my best friend for as long as I could remember. He had to stay in London for The X Factor and didn't have time to visit us in Doncaster. Just in case you didn't know, Louis is in the band One Direction.

"Ella, Louis' home!" Johanna called up the stairs.

My dad's a bodyguard and my mum's a stylist and they work on tours all the time. I didn't want to travel so, when I was sixteen, I moved in with Louis, his mum and four sisters. My sister, however, stayed with them and I haven't seen any of my proper family in over a year. They still sent cards and presents at Christmas and my birthday but I really missed them. Louis was the only thing I had left. It was horrible not having him around. I was about to sprint down the stairs when he started being the usual, sassy Louis.

"Hurry up and get your butt down here now!" He shouted, but I could here the joke in his command.

"No!" I retorted, wanting to push him.

"That's it! You asked for it!" Louis warned.

I screamed as the sound of footsteps rang in my ears. The door flung open and an angry-looking Louis stomped in. I saw four boys snickering in the hallway but I decided to ignore them.

"What should I do?" Louis asked himself, tapping his chin.

Obviously having a brainwave, he closed the space between us, reached out and tickled me!

"Louis, please, stop!" I begged. "I was only joking, please stop!"

"Nope, I enjoy annoying you." He smirked.

"Lou, can you come here a minute?" Johanna asked, coming to me rescue. I thought I was off the hook but we're talking about THE Louis Tomlinson here.

Instead of letting me go like any other person would've, he slung me over his shoulder and ran down the stairs.

"Put me down!" I screamed.

Johanna laughed at us before saying, "Louis, put her down."

Louis obeyed and I gave Johanna a grateful look. She smiled back at me.

"What do ya need?" Louis asked.

"I need to know what you want for dinner." Johanna replied.

"Carrots!" Louis answered.

"Okay. What else?" She asked him, smiling at his carrot obsession.

"Screw that. I don't want carrots. I want pasta with cookie dough for desert." He picked all his favourite foods.

"Ella, do you want the same or something else?" Johanna asked. She always took me into consideration even if it's meant to be a special day for Louis.

"Can I have a Chinese takeaway and a bar of Cadbury's Oreo Chocolate, please?" I asked, politely.

"Why don't we all just eat out at 'The Black Tie'?" She asked.

"Yeah!" Me and Louis cried at the same time.

'The Black Tie' had always been our favourite restaurant since we were old enough to be allowed in (you have to be 13).

"Okay, Lou do you wanna go and show the boys their rooms and go get ready. Ella, can I speak to you for a minute?" She turned to each of us as she spoke.

"Sure," I smiled.

Louis ran up the stairs singing 'My Life Would Suck Without You', which was one of our songs.

"Who are the boys?" I asked, curiously.

"Harry, Liam, Zayn and Niall are staying for a while."

"Oh, the One Direction boys," I dragged out my 'oh', "What do you need?"

"I was actually wondering if you could ring Eleanor and see if she wants to come with us as a nice surprise for Lou." She explained.

"Of course," I agreed.

Me: Hey El, Lou is home and we are going to 'The Black Tie'. You wanna come?

El: Sure when should I meet you?

Me: Eight gotta go bye.

I sprinted up the stairs and knocked on Louis' bedroom door. A boy with green eyes, a cheeky smile and curly, brown hair opened the door.

"Hi, can I speak to Louis for a second please?" I politely asked.

"Sure, I'm Harry by the way," He grinned, holding his hand out.

"I'm Ella," I smiled, shaking his hand.

"I know, Louis talks about you all the time." He smirked.

"Does he now?" I raised my eyebrows and laughed.

"Don't worry, nothing bad." He reassured me.

Seconds later Louis walked to the door.

"Hey, Lou. Make sure you smarten up tonight. I've got a surprise for you." I grinned from ear to ear.

"Tell me," He pouted.

"Nope. It's for me to know and for you to find out," I smirked, loving the sight of him begging.

He grabbed my phone and I saw him scrolling down. His eyes got big and a grin played on his lips. He leaped into my arms and gave me a hug.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He cried, jumping up and down.

Harry looked at him weirdly, "What's going on?"

"My girlfriend's coming with us tonight!" He squealed and I laughed at his antics.

Harry laughed with me. There was an awkward silence. The only sound that could be heard was Louis' loud breathing as he tried to calm himself down.

"Right, I'm going to get ready. El's meeting us here at eight so you've got just over two hours. Lou, you stink by the way!" I wrinkled my nose.

He glared at me but before he could say anything I ran into my room and then my bathroom. I turned the tap on and poured in some bubble bath.

Harry's P.O.V

Oh my god! I opened the door and saw the most beautiful girl I could ever imagine. She had long, brown hair, dip-died blonde at the bottom. Her sparkling blue eyes glinted in the light. I immediately recognized her as Louis' best friend.

She smiled at me and asked, "Can I speak to Louis for a second please?"

"Sure, I'm Harry by the way." I replied, turning on the charm.

"I'm Ella," she smiled, shaking my awaiting hand.

"I know. Louis talks about you all the time." I smirked, remembering the picture he'd shown me and the boys.

"Does he now?" She raised her eyebrows and laughed an adorable laugh.

"Don't worry, nothing bad." I smiled having a flashback.

Me and the boys were sitting round a fire in the bungalow, telling stories from our past.

"Well, when I was about 17, me and Ella tried to get in the house. She'd only just moved in, so she didn't have a key, and Lottie had stolen mine. Charlotte and Felicite were in the house and my Mum was at the hospital with the Phoebe and Daisy," Louis began and I listened intently, because ever since I'd seen a picture of her, I've had a crush on his best friend, Ella.

"So we were banging on the door, shouting the girls' names for them to let us in. They thought we were coming to kill them and rang my Mum! Me and Ella ended up breaking down the door and was grounded for six months, only being allowed out for work and college." At that point, everyone was in hysterics.

By the time I was back to the present time, Louis was jumping up and down next to me and Ella was grinning from ear to ear.

I looked at Louis weirdly, "What's going on?"

"My girlfriend's coming with us tonight!" He squealed and Ella laughed her cute, little laugh.

I laughed with her and then there was an awkward silence, which Ella broke.

"Right, I'm going to get ready. El's meeting us here at eight so you've got just over two hours. Lou, you stink by the way!" She screwed up her nose and ran off into her room.

"I'm so getting you back for that!" Louis shouted, meaning for Ella to hear but I doubt she did. I went into the room to get ready with fresh pictures of Ella in my thoughts.
