It All Started With A Brownie

Actually, it starts with two.
Susie gets up one morning and makes a load of brownies. 250, in fact. She and her friends don't know what to do with them so they decide to sell them - outside their apartment. A guy comes along, hood up, blue eyes and soft blonde hair. He keeps his face hidden, but when Susie sees him properly, it's Niall Horan, her celebrity crush. Can Susie keep her secret hidden from her friends, or will the truth come out?

13. Getting Ready

Here is a little bit of an earlier update for you because Zara was nice to me, lol ;)

Susie's POV

After bailing Liv and Liam out of jail, they both paid me the money when they were given their belongings back, and eventually told us what happened at Westfield. The manager of Westfield didn't press charges when he knew that they weren't doing any harm, and Liam ended up offering him coffee at  Starbucks to make up for it, which he kindly declined.

Liv and Liam told us what happened, and it sounded pretty crazy, usually it would have been Annabel doing something like that.

When Liam left our apartment, the girls wouldn't leave me alone, as they knew my date with Niall was tomorrow. I couldn't really accept the fact that he liked me, after all, he could choose any girl he wanted. But I guess, well, I guess he wanted me, which was a nice feeling.

"So, what are you going to wear, Susie?" Annabel asked expectantly, and I frowned, not really knowing the answer.

"Well, I don't exactly know where we're going, so I think I'll just wear comfy clothes. Nothing over the top."

The girls nodded and I noticed a glint of mischief in Zara's eyes.

"Spill, Zara."

The brunette looked shocked and I smirked, "I know you're hiding something. Tell me what it is."

"You know where he's taking me for this date, don't you?"

Zara nodded and Liv and Annabel seemed surprised, obviously not knowing themselves. "Where? Oh, please tell me, Zara, I really want to know!"

My best pleading look didn't seem to work, as Zara clamped her lips tightly shut and wouldn't talk, not even to the other two.

Finally, I gave up and made them leave my room so that I could choose my outfit in peace. Opening my cupboard door, I remembered all those weeks ago when Niall hid there. Making brownies was the best idea I'd ever had and it was just chance that he was walking by at that moment. I'd obviously taken the poster of him on my ceiling down, as that would have been weird if he saw it again, and honestly, my heart beat faster and faster every time I thought of him and our date. I felt my cheeks burning up, and I tried to concentrate on the clothes instead of the whirring cogs in my brain.

What could I wear? High heels, a white lacy top and a pencil skirt? Nope, too formal. My long, maxi dress? Nope, too dressy. Trying everything on, I found I was most comfy in a pair of dark blue, ripped jeans, a cream blouse tucked in and silvery-grey pumps. The girls loved the outfit and I was happy with what I had chosen.

By the time we had started to eat dinner, made by Liv who was extremely proud of herself, it was already nine o'clock and I was starving. Luckily, Liv was quite a good cook, and I went back for seconds, which was returned with a look of disapproval from Annabel, who was going through a "healthy eating" stage.

After dinner, I slumped on the sofa, deciding to watch some 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians', but the girls forced me to go to sleep, promising me that I would thank them in the morning.

Their advice didn't exactly help though, as I seemed to only get about three hours sleep, worrying about what today might bring.

Rubbing my eyes and hopping out of bed, I decided to do makeup first, then have breakfast and put on my clothes last so that they didn't crease.

I had learnt from experience that it was not a good thing to go over the top, so some base, eyeliner and mascara was all that was needed to make me look presentable.

Coming out from the bathroom, I found Annabel lying on my bed, already hungry for breakfast, so I made a bacon butty which she accepted gratefully. So much for the healthy eating programme.

"Are you excited for your date?"

I hesitated, then spoke. "Yes, I am. It's quite nerve-wracking, don't you think?" I noticed her face fall when I said this and my arm immediately went around her waist, pulling her closer. "What's wrong, Belzy?"

"You're so lucky to have had a boyfriend, Susie. You and Max were so cute together, and now Niall has captured your heart. I've never been in love with somebody, and now that I am finally falling for someone, they aren't even single!"

I stroked her arm with my thumb, "Look, Annabel. What you're doing is the best thing. You're waiting for that special someone to come along. I know Louis has a girlfriend, but maybe he isn't the right guy for you. You gotta keep your options open, as there are plenty of other fish in the sea for you to capture. So don't be miserable, keep looking for the right man. You will find him eventually."

Annabel's lips turned into a little smile and I was happy that she felt a bit better. "Thanks, Susie. Now, what are we doing sitting here? You need to get changed!"

We both laughed and ran into my bedroom where the clothes lay on the bed. "Good choice, Susie." Annabel winked at me and I smiled back at her, getting changed quickly and turning to the mirror to look at the finished result.

Annabel sat me down at my dresser to do my hair, which ended up in a lovely Katniss braid coming right across the top of my head and over my left ear. I hated to admit it, but I looked better than normal, and I was pleased with my appearance. Now all I had to do was wait for Niall.

I still had no clue where we were going.

It was a little bit of a filler and it was quite short, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway :)

Love, Liv xx
