Distance will be their enemy.

8. recognizing Delilah's POV

Delilah’s P.O.V

3:45 this ride has been amazingly silent, my mum never tried to said a word neither did I, we finally got to the police station, I was getting out from the car when I saw a guy leaving the door, he looked like Louis.

“Delilah, please get my bag is in the back seat” my mum said for the first time since this morning.

“Sure” I quickly did what she asked me to do, and then when I looked back up, he was gone, no sight of him around, it’s just like he vanished from earth.

As fast as I could I shake the idea out of my head, and followed my mom into the police station, my dad was already there.

“Hello, you must me Delilah, am I correct?” a nice polite women asked from behind a counter.

“Yes” I said shyly.

“And you must be Mr. and Mrs. Jones”

“Yes, ma’am” my dad answered seriously.

“I would like to have a few words with Delilah before you go in, would it be possible?” she asked smiling towards us.

“Sure” my mom answered.

“Please follow me”

I did as asked, and followed her into a small tidy office, it had a few papers over the desk and before she took them in her hand I got to read a name: Louis Tomlinson. Something inside me shivered after reading that name. I was lost in my thought when I realized the police officer was talking to me.

“Sorry, I was just remembering everything that happened” I apologized myself.

“No problem dear, My name is Jennifer Jearou, I’m the officer in call today, and I’m in charge of your case, the guy I interviewed earlier today said that you were molested by a group of old guys, and you were being hit by them and they throw you into the ground” she said while reading from the papers that where earlier in the desk “anything else you want to add, any detail was missing?”

“No, he covered it all pretty well” I said “do you happen to have any pictures of Louis?”

“How do you know his name?” she asked giving me a weird look.

“That night, when my dad called they gave him that name”

“Oh, ok. And yes I do have a picture of him” meanwhile she was looking into a brown folder. “Does he ring any bells?”

This is impossible, that is him, from my dream and the music festival.

“Not really” I lied, I was scared of the fact that it was him, and something inside me told me not to say it was him.

“Ok, now let’s move over to the pictures of the suspects. For this I’ll asked your parents to come inside, because you might get a bit emotional.”

A couple of seconds later my parents were sitting next to me and the officer was holding some pictures in her hand.

Picture 1: No

Picture 2: No

Picture 3: No

The fourth photograph sent shivers down my spine, my whole body tensed and I could see both of my parents reacting exactly the same towards it.

Picture 4: Yes

“Alright thank…” the officer cut off.

“I can’t do this any longer” I sad crying both of fear and anger “You know something about this guy in the picture and you are hiding it from me”

“Lilah, what are you saying?” my mom asked.

“I know exactly what I am saying, earlier today I listened to you and dad speaking about, I knew she’ll find out but I wasn’t expecting it to be this soon” I was almost screaming now.

“Honey, let’s go home and we’ll talk about it” my dad said in a calm voice.

“Whatever you say!” I said harshly “anything else you need from me, officer?”

“No, that’s it for today” she said simply.

I run to my mum’s car, getting in the front seat, plugging my headphones to my phone and into my ears, jamming to whatever came through shuffle, I wasn’t in the mood to have a nice tea talk with my mother.
