7. Code Red

Arabella's POV

"So... Are you and Carson like-" Freddie started to say, but I interupted him.

"Twins? Yes, we are," I laughed. I was yelling. Freddie just smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back. Freddie took my hand and guided me away from the loud dance floor. He leaded me out to the porch. I noticed Skye talking to Ryder, Alea talking to some guys, Jacob working the DJ system, and Michael and Carson talking to a group of girls. Ugh... Don't embarass me Carson.

"You want something to drink?" Freddie asked me. I didn't even realise we were in the kitchen. I nodded. "Ah don't be shy on me now," Freddie sighed. I smiled. "Will you answer my question then?" he asked while putting one finger under my chin and lifting my head to meet his eyes.

"Sure," I laughed.

"Got any beer?" Freddie asked. I nodded. He was 18 while I was 16. I pointed to the cooler by the porch door. "Want one?" he asked me.

"I don't drink beer," I informed him. He only tilted his head. "I'm not old enough," I smiled. Freddie smirked. He got a beer for himself and me a water. "How'd you know?" I asked. He smiled and shrugged. He handed me the water and we stood there in silence.

"Do your parents know about this party?" Freddie asked, filling in the silence. I met his glance for a split second then I looked at the floor.

"In a way..." I trailed off. He looked at me. "Jacob asked his dad if they could throw a SMALL party."

"Well, I hate to be a downer, but this isn't a small party," Freddie laughed. I laughed as well. I noticed Freddie start lean in. But then my phone started to ring.

Carson's POV

"It's great to see you again Grace!" I yelled over the music.

"What are you talking about? I saw you like 3 weeks ago!" she yelled back over the music. I gave her a big smile.

"Yeah but you said you were moving," I yelled sadly. She took her hands away from my neck. We were dancing, her hands around my neck while mine were on her waist.

"Yeah... In a few days. I heard about this party from your sister," she informed me. Dang Arabella. "so I thought I would stop by and say goodbye... Only I hope this isn't goodbye," I heard her sigh as she rested her head on my chest.

"It won't be goodbye. We'll make this work," I said as she looked up at me. She wrapped her arms around my neck again. We both started to lean in.

We were so close when I saw Arabella run behind Grace. She looked like she was on a mission. I ignored it and started to lean in again. Only inches away when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I sighed and looked into Grace's eyes. I could tell she was just as annoyed as me. I turned around to see Michael.

"Yes Michael?" I asked sighing.

"Your sister is looking for you," he yelled. I sighed again. That couldn't have waited? I simply nodded to Michael as he walked off.

"Sorry Grace. My sister needs me really quick," I told her. She only looked at the floor sadly. "But before I go..." I quickly put my arms around her waist and went in. My lips soon met hers and were moving in sync. I have to say, it was the best and longest kiss I had. But sadly, I had to pull away before we would be unbreakable. We both smiled at each other. I can't let her go now... I took her hand in mine and guided her across the dance floor in search of my sister. I soon found her in the kitchen.

"There you are!" she exclaimed.

"You were looking for me?" I joked. Arabella just rolled her eyes and smiled.

"What did you need?" I asked her slightly annoyed. Grace squeezed my hand to try to calm me down.

"Yeah... I believe your friend, Connor, texted me," she told me.

"Ok? What about it? I was in the middle of something..." I said more annoyed. I nodded toward me hand intertwined with Grace's. She gave me an apologetic smile.

"Sorry... But he must have gotten our numbers confused... He texted me, and I quote," she started and pulled out her phone. She clicked a few buttons then nodded. "Code red! Five black vans heading your way!"
