Forever in My Heart

This about my girlfriend, and kind of how we met. I wrote this because I was doing an assignment for class and used a little line in it "Forever in My Heart" and the first thing I began thinking about was her. So, I began writing this, completely abandoning the assignment (just being honest). She really enjoys my other story, so I'm hoping she really appreciates this one as much or more than Hour Zero. I just wish I was better at poems.

2. The Girl Who I feel in Love With

Sometimes when I think of her I remember

the girl across the aisle of the bus.

The sweet, pretty girl who seemed to dislike me but was friendly anyway.

The girl who I spent an entire day with,

in what was likely one of our least favorite places to be.

The girl whose friends had left her to fend for herself with a stranger,

talking with him in sometimes awkward moments.

The girl who spent a majority of the time in lines writing in a journal.

The girl who in the middle of the night I thought about being with,

but decided I had a better chance being struck by lightning.

The girl who I went out of my way to associate with the entire trip in Atlanta,

who seemed to have little interest in me at all.

The girl who, although jokingly, commented on how she was surprised,

Surprised I ever had one girlfriend let alone several.

Sometimes when I look at her I remember

The girl who was scared to get in the elevator.

The girl whose friends seemed to be pressing me to ask out.

The girl who wanted a love necklace oh so badly,

which I was more than willing to buy for her and even offered to.

But every time I look at her, I remember the girl who I fell in love with.

I remember the girl who was speechless when I told her I liked her.

I remember the girl who would speak about how she loved the Indonesian language.

I remember the girl who blushed as bright as the sun when I told her I loved her

for the first time and in Indonesian no less.

The girl who I drew loves runes for from her favorite book series, Mortal Instruments.

The girl who I asked to homecoming using a scaled eight inch model of the Tardis,

right off her favorite show Doctor Who.

Every time I look at her I am reminded of how lucky I am to have ever met her,

how I nearly didn't even go on the trip that has changed my life forever,

by meeting the girl that has changed my life forever...

Sometimes when I look at her I remember the girl who stopped my heart,

with her beauty on homecoming night.

The girl who deals with and loves me despite how geeky I am

The girl who will someday share my last name through a gift I will accompany with a ring.

The girl who at first had stolen my heart, but now IS my heart.

The girl who means more to me than anything else in the universe.

Sometimes when I think of her I remember the girl who has gotten mad at me time to time,

but loves me despite all those times.

I remember the girl who I want to spend the rest of eternity with,

the girl who I will spend the rest of eternity with.

The girl who has bettered me as a person, improving my daily mood and even my grades.

The girl who is my reason to look forward to Monday's more than any other day,

for when I go to home and spend the late afternoon with her.

Sometimes when I look at her I remember our late night calls,

the ones we share every day before we go to bed.

Every time I look at her I remember the girl that I can't lose,

no matter what happens.

The girl that is smart and beautiful, caring and fun.

The girl who is absolutely perfect.

I will always love her, no matter what happens from here on out.

I will always have her, no matter what happens from here on out.

She will always have me, no matter what happens from here on out.

She is the love of my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I love her, and I always will.

Forever in my heart, now and tomorrow,

no matter what happens, that will always be so.
