10. What happened in Mumbai......

The Police who had gone to Mumbai along with Muthu came back to Bangalore after 5 days. Police Constable Mr.Achar called Srikanth to meet them. Srikanth eagerly went to know the developments at the Police Station.

By now, Srikanth had developed intimacy with Mr.Achar and Mr.Deshpande (Police Constables). He had lost the initial fear of entering into Police Station. Now he had developed a feeling that he was doing a service for the society.

In the Police Station Mr.Achar told that their journey was comfortable. They had arrested another person Mr.Singhvi from Mumbai and had brought him along with Muthu. Mr.Singhvi informed the Police that he had given letters requesting for delivery instructions to Muthu and sent him to the Bank to collect the same. After collecting the same, he had filled in the same and duly forging the signature/s of the demat account holders.  The same was submitted by Muthu to the Bank and the attempt to defraud was noticed by the Bank officials. As Muthu was jobless and Singhvi befriended him and took him to travel across the country. Muthu felt quite rewarded - he got some opportunity to travel without any money and could manage his day to day expenses even though he was jobless...

This fellow, Mr.Singhvi was a smart person (certainly not by looks- by his acts). He had a thorough knowledge of how demat accounts are operated. He informed Police that when the shares were not credited to his account, he felt suspicious that something wrong might have happened, But unfortunately, Muthu who made several calls to Singhvi upon reaching Mumbai with Bangalore did not leave any doubts in him. He really thought Muthu has come as planned earlier and never suspected a 'foulplay'. As directed by Police, Muthu spoke to Singhvi and both met at Juhu Beach, wherein Bangalore Police had already laid a trap. When  Singhvi came to met Muthu, the police arrested him and brought him back to Bangalore along with Muthu. Upon arrrest of Singhvi, they could bring his two big suitcases, which contained demat shares, share certificates, a number of rubber stamps etc.,
