my story of survival in vietnam

The year was 1970; the Vietnam War was at its worst and would end in 5 years. I had no military experience and in fact I was a business man owning a couple of gas stations. I had booked a trip from Los Angeles to Korea for vacation. though then it went terribly wrong.

We went into an area with a couple of huts and saw many people working like slaves. We saw blood and then we heard a gunshot, the Vietcong then said “that happens on average once a day, when people don’t follow the rules”. While we were going around there were people you could see the bones and ribs of which. It shows that those people aren’t eating 3,000 calories a day. We were forced to go into an old small bamboo hut. Though while we were inside trapped in the hut the other groups were planning of getting us out. Then at night they went out to rescue us they were outside and then they sneaked in. They went into all the huts and most were empty with Vietnam people. Then bill the chubby or fat guy went into a hut with a bunch of Vietcong, bill ran away and then matt came with the gun and shot at the hut so they were pinned down. Then they found us and we ran away as fast as we possibly could.
