Cute, Short Stories

These are cute little stories that I wrote. They're only 1-2 pages. They are supposed to be cheesy, so suck it up. (:

1. The Right Choice

The rain was slapping my face as I ran through the deep puddles, splashing upon my legs. My dress was soaked, and tears hidden by the sheet of rain. I was sure my mascara was staining my cheeks, but I didn’t care. My date for Prom was kissing another girl in a classroom. Classy, right?

I ran out of the school as fast as I could.

When I was far enough from the school, I sat down on a nearby bench and pulled my wet hair out of my face. The rain was coming down harder, it felt like. But, let it come. Nothing could make me feel any better.

Then someone sat beside me. I turned and saw my best friend, his tux was stuck to his body, and hair plastered to his face. I lifted my leg a little to take off my shoes.

“Don’t even say it,” I said as I took off one of my silver flats.

“I wasn’t going to say anything.” He said, sounding sincere.

“Sure you weren’t.” I said sarcastically. I put the shoes on my lap, and stared to play with a piece that was falling off, when Adam moved my chin with his finger. I stared into his deep dark brown eyes and completed melted. But, I shouldn’t have these thoughts. He’s my best friend. He won’t think of me that way.

“Chloe, you didn’t deserve him. He was a player.” He said in a soothing voice.

“Then why didn’t you tell me?” I ask.

“Because what was I going to say. ‘Chloe your date is a dumbass that doesn’t deserve you’? No, because I didn’t want us to get into a fight over a guy that wasn’t worth it.”

I couldn’t stop myself before saying, “And you think you are?”

He nodded, glad I understood. I decided to take the risk. I moved closer to his wet face, and planted my lips on his. Even though it was cold, his lips were warm, and I could taste the rain, with a little salt. When he pulled apart, we were close enough that I saw another tear escape his eye.

Then the rain stopped.

Adam pulled me up, and we walked down the park path, hand in hand, my head on his shoulder because I knew this I’d made the right choice.
