4. Bloody Discovery

Albert's POV

The sun began to rise before I was able to get back to the hotel. I hadn't been gone for too long, or at least I didn't think I had. Since I wasn't too far down the street, I decided to walk.

Once I reached the hotel, I noticed how crowded the lobby had become. Walking in, I pulled on one waiting man's arm.

"What's going on?" I asked wonderingly.

"Everyone is having to wait. The woman at the desk decided to take a break or something... The lazy bitch." He looked frustrated by all that was happening, so I only nodded.

Weaving my way through the crowd, I made my way to the elevator.

"The chaos that's going on in the lobby has nothing to do with me." I assured myself in a  small whisper.

I entered the elevator and rode to the fourth floor. Walking down the hall, I found the room, and noticed the green light on the lock. My brows furrowed and a frown settled on my face. The door was unlocked...but I could have sworn that I'd locked it before I left. 'Something is wrong', a small voice in my head told me, but I ignored that fear and opened the door slowly.

The room was strangely dark once I closed the door. I could hear something moving, and see a figure close to the ground. That's when I smelled the large amount of blood that was right in front of me. It was enough for me to have to cover my nose so I wouldn't gag.

My hand slid on the wall until I found the light. I hesitated before switching it on. My breath hitched at the sight.

The girl that I had left dead on the bed was now leaning over the corpse of a woman. Blood had sunken into the white carpet around the two, and the girl's blue dress was now drenched in the dark liquid. The side of her face that I could see was covered with blood, her eyes opening quickly and glancing toward the light above. She growled, her eyes venturing quickly toward me. She rose slowly, blood dripping down her lips and jaw. With a small, furious, roar she charged at me, her fangs extended. I moved before she could get her hands on me, and moved behind her swiftly. I grabbed her shoulders roughly, pushing her to the wall and holding her there.

I stayed close to her, making sure she couldn't get free of my grasp.

"Calm yourself!" I hissed, "You don't need anymore. That's enough." She still moved and growled under my weight.

"Stop this! Look what you've done!" I yelled at her this time, moving her to where she could see the woman's sprawled out body.

Surely some of her humanity was still intact...

I watched as her green eyes darkened and she blinked. Her hand came to her mouth in what I was sure was shock. When it came away, she looked down and stared at the blood.

"What's happened to me...?" She whispered shakily. Her eyes were back on the body in front of her, tears brimming her eyes.

"You died..." I stated bluntly, "So I brought you back."

She looked at me then, "How could you have possibly have done that?"

I brought my arm up and wiped the blood from her cheek lightly, "I turned you."

At her seriously confused facial expression, I continued, "I'm a vampire. You're a vampire."
