The Straight - Edge boy with the Pepsi Tattoo™

This is a story dreamt about. It is about a girl who runs away from England to a place of opportunity, America. But when she gets there things pan out really well. She then crosses paths with a boy but he isn't just a normal ordinary boy, he is special.

19. First day of High School

It is my first day of high school here at 'Lockport'. I sorted out my school uniform last minute, yesterday and it was alright. Not too attractive though. The blazers were maroon and had the school badge on. There was a yellow stripe as an outline of the collar going down to where the buttons were. We had white shirts or for girls, blouses to wear and a maroon and yellow diagonally striped tie. Girls had to wear grey skirts and boys had to wear grey trousers, skirts had to reach our knees. Our shoes should be black and polished, no heels. No make-up, perfume or jewellery was to be worn to school and hair must be tied back if it is any longer than shoulder length. That rule wouldn't affect me because my hair is short, not a 'bob' but it is just a little shorter than shoulder length. I sorted myself out and looked very smart indeed, I left the house with my messenger bag, school bag.

As I walked through the school gates, I saw that it was bustling, there were so many people around. I walked confidently, my head held high; shoulders relaxed; a gleam in my eye and a faint smile on my face. I looked up at the sun and back down to see the students rushing in to the building. I was shaken by a massive school bell ringing and I rushed over to where an entrance. It was where all the lockers were for my year. They were all blue and quite small, in which the size wasn't so generous. But it is a huge high school which an even more enormous extent of pupils. The locker room was called 'The Street'. I quickly shoved my things in mine and padlocked it. I then rushed into a room which was meant to be my form room.

I then come into a class full of about 25 students and a teacher is standing up talking. She pauses and smiles while rushing over to me. I give a faint smile and look around, anxious and a bit precarious, it felt a tiny bit awkward a first.

"Just the person I am talking about! Class this our newest student, Alicia. Alicia, welcome to the school, this is 7C and I am the form tutor Miss.Emerson." I smile and nod once. Then I look around and observe the classroom and my new classmates. "Ok then, Alicia, tell us more about yourself."

"Where do I start?" I chuckle and then continue "Um, okay. I'm Alicia and I am quite a bold but bubbly person. I'd describe myself as chatty and creative. Plus, I am definitely nocturnal! Ha, um, I love sports, art and academic things. I like to laugh and make others smile. Ummm, and I love the colour pink! Ok then, enough said," and many at the verge of bursting in to laughter. There are giggles from all directions and loads of smiles. "Give a round of applause for Alicia!" yells Miss.Emerson and I get many claps and cheers from everyone.

When the noise has died down, Miss says "Now Alicia, why don't you sit down in your place over there, next to Philip." She points to a table in the middle and a boy gives a tiny wave, which indicates that is where I am meant to sit. I put my bag carefully on the floor and sit down, then look to my left and smile at him. He smiles back. Then I take a second look at him and he looks familiar, very familiar. He looks back at me and his eyes surprised. I know that he was the guy that I met at that restaurant and he knows it too.

The school bell rings and we are dismissed, this is getting really interesting.
