12. Sonnet 69

What is love if not freedom to feel?
But what is freedom if not in our mind?
And if our minds closed let free hearts heal;
Not punish us for differing in kind,
And those of faith who can't love thy neighbour:
We should pity for their lack of free sight,
Or hope for new born spirits of labour
So eventually they will see the light;
A light bursting through our shadow'd cast eyes;
For now this light remains the smallest star,
And hope may be the emotion of lies,
This a dream from reality so far-
So before love is ever to be free,
Light must shine across the forever tree.
