The Slytherin Scandal: Year One

A girl named Lea was always the odd ball. She remembered everything she ever read, could make things move and even speak to animals. Her parents thought it was just her imagination. Soon Lea Talbot finds it is more, it is magic. When she gets to Hogwarts she is still the odd ball. Lea can read minds when hers wonders and she is a hundred by all the students. being the only ever muggle-born Slytherin, she must find a way to stay alive in a house that hates her and wants her dead. Not to mention all these killer...things.

4. The Cats

"No," Lea whispered. She ran out of the house and onto the porch. Snape was about to follow when a voice sounded in his head. It was Lea's voice. It was desperate and depressed. "Don't let it be Tasha! She just had her kits!"

On the porch Lea was hit by a rotten tomato. She ran toward the gang of boys. They thru the cat's body at her. It was a black and white spotted adult cat.

Tears threatened to leak from behind her eyes. Lea was furious but forced herself to keep a calm appearance. "Go away and don't ever come back." She felt a tingling in her hands, it felt that way whenever she did something strange. Now she knew it was magic that she felt under her skin.

Lea carried the cat's body inside the house. "It is Tasha." Tears streamed from her eyes. "You poor thing. How did they find you?"

Snape came to the door. "Those immature, idiotic, evil, little toad stools!" He heard her voice in his head again.

"Excuse me for a minute, I have some business to attend to," Lea said pulling herself together. "Will be back momentarily."

Lea left without further ado and went down Main Street. At the end of the road she turned left and went into the wood. Lea found a hollowed out tree and looked in. There, meowing pitifully and hungrily, were three kittens. One was black as midnight, one gray with white stripes and the last one was black and white with brown paws.

Lea bundled them  together and carried them back to her house. Professor Snape was sitting on the porch, freshly scrubbed. He must have used magic to have gotten it clean in less than an hour, Lea thought to herself.

"The cat is buried in the back yard," Snape said. "I am sorry."

"It's okay. Everything must die at some point," Lea stated. "Back to what you came here for, how do I get my school supplies?" She changed the subject expertly, but Snape noticed. He said nothing.

Snape told her directions to the Leaky Cauldron in London. "For this next part, I must take you to get a wand." With that, Snape stood and motioned for Lea to take hold of his arm. With a loud crack! they were gone.
