6. Chapter Six

It was December, right before Christmas and Draco and Holly were walking to Hogsmeade. (The school had all ready found the body of Pansy and had her funeral service for her suicide and her parents and family had her body and their funeral all easy too). They were holding hands and Holly's head was on Draco's shoulder. Draco looked sideways at her and kissed her hand, pulling it up to his lips. These last three months together had been pure bliss. She helped with all of his pain staking challenges of trying to off Dumbledore. This time, they were going to get it right. This time there would be no fall outs or problems. This time, even Potter couldn't get in his way.
"Draco, relax. We're out for some free time. That's what we came here for. Now come with me, we're going to Honeyduke's. I want a sugar quill." Holly said, pulling him along with her.
Draco smiled and followed her willingly. Too bad they had to "break up" soon today. But she was going to be be brilliant as they do this.
"Hello there, my fiery friend!" Said a voice behind them after they walked into the sweet shoppe.
Draco looked behind his back and saw a tall boy, in their year, with brown hair, honey brown eyes, and a rather large nose.
"And just who are you?" Draco sneered at him.
"Draco, this is my friend, Matthew McCormick. He's been helping me with some remedial Transfiguration tutoring. He's really very smart and nice." Holly said as she gave McCormick a hug.
Draco glowered at the boy. He knew Holly was amazing at Transfiguration and that she didn't need any tutoring. She had an "O" in it last year. She was still amazing at it and there was no ruddy reason for her to have a bloody tutor!!
McCormick stuck out his hand and said, "Ello. It's nice to finally be aquatinted with you."
Draco just glared at him and said, "I hope you're not under the impression that I would sully this silver silk glove or my skin by touching your hand. You are lowly and not worthy of my time. I don't like you and you aren't to be anywhere near my Holly ever again. Or. So. Help. You. Even The Dark Lord's anger can't compare to mine. I will find you. And then I shall kill you. Am I perfectly clear to you?! And if not, perhaps I shall MAKE myself clear to you!"
Holly looked on at him and her mouth fell open. "Draco! What are you DOING?!" Holly hissed under her breathe.
"I'm marking my territory. He won't be messing with you anymore. And he BETTER not THINK of doing such a THING!" Draco growled, bristling.
At that point, the Potter gang walked in. Holly and Draco glanced at each other and then smiled broadly for a second.
"FINE! If THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT DRACO! I guess we're OVER!!" Holly snapped, "crying" a bit.
"Draco!! You... Can't... Be... Serious..." Holly gulped, "bawling" her eyes out.
She ran out, pushing through Potter and his friends.
"Umm.. I'll be right back, Ron." Hermione said, pecking Ron on the cheek. She followed Holly out.
"Wait! Where are you going?!" Ron called after her.
"I dropped something. I'll be right back!"
"Holly!! Holly!! Wait up!" Hermione gasped as she was chasing after Holly.
Holly stopped and turned around, hiding the evil from on her face with her long hair. "What. Do. You. WANT!?!" She snapped.
"What just happened?! You two have been so strong and steady for the last three or so months!! Ever since first term!"
"I know! But I was getting help in Transfiguration from McCormick and Draco didn't like it. I've been having this one little problem with trying to transfigure my mouse. It's too fast for me. So, McGonnigle assigned him to help me. And Draco got jealous when he tried to talk to me just now. And... I guess that my giving McCormick a hug sent him over the edge." Holly sniffled.
Hermione wrapped her arms around Holly's shoulders and pulled her into a crushing hug. "Holly, I'm so sorry. And I never should've taken what you said to heart. You were just trying to be a good girlfriend as well as a friend to me and others."
Holly glared behind Hermione's back. "Yes. It's painful. I can't do this anymore. I guess we're over any ways." She sniffled.
"It's okay, hunny." Hermione said, gripping her tightly.
