I Watch it Begin again

Samantha was your usual fourteen-year-old girl. Going to school, fangirling over her idols and just trying to fit in. Living this relatively normal life changed the day she met her English teacher, Allana...

7. Preparation

It has been exactly two weeks since the announcement of Taylor Swift's concert and two weks and two days since the day i met Sam. And believe me, things could not be busier. Part of the deal in having Taylor come here was that I had to organise it. Fun! I have been tossing up whether or not to ask Sam if she wants to help, but I don't want her to feel obliged to just because i asked. I'll go for a bit longer then see how I feel. I think that she really would like to help though...

I have Sam's class fifth period today. It'll be a great way to end the day. I love when I have a really nice class at the end of the day, rather than a bad one. It can really change your mood. I was looking forward to having her as it meant I would have the chance to enquire into if she wanted to help me with the organisation.

The class filed in, Sam at the end of the line as usual. Everyone took their place, Sam next to me as usual too. I began the lesson and set a few tasks and watched as everyone worked away. I was bursting to talk to her, but didn't want to in front of the class. It wouldn't be good if I just asked ot speak to her outside, because that would just opne her to more torment for being a 'teacher's pet' and that was what we wanted to avoid.

After school could work. I know she catches the Ag teacher's bus. I could just walk down with her and talk then. Perfect.

With my plan devised, the rest of the lesson seemed to fly by. I was keen to ask her, but was nervous thinking that she wouldn't want to and would just agree because I'd asked her. I would have to make that very clear at the beginning...

The bell rang and everyone filed out in less time than it had taken them to enter. Sam was the last to leave and smiled as she did so. But I stayed walking with her, and sprung then.

'Sam...wait up,' I was getting real nervous now. 'I wanted to ask you something. now, don't be obliged to just because I've asked, okay?' she just nodded in return and i took her silence as a sign to continue. i babbled on for a moment about how i didn't want her to just agree if she didn't want to and blah, blah, blah...

We were reaching her bus when I finally asked her. 'Would you like to help me organise the concert?' ...
