14. Mickey and Niall's Date

Mickey’s POV

I heard a knock at the door and knew it was my boy. I opened the door and he saw me wearing this: http://www.polyvore.com/mickey_date/set?id=82826324.

“You look amazing.” Niall told me. He wrapped his arms around me and gave me a kiss.

“So, what are we doing tonight?” I said as I walked back into the house to grab my bag.

“Well, I decided that we would go see a play on Broadway.” He told me.

“What?” I looked back at him in shock.

“What? You don’t like plays?” He asked.

“No, I love them.” I explained.

“Well good. We are going to see Wicked.” He said to me.

“Are you serious? I love Wicked.” I exclaimed.

“Well, that’s great.” He smiled at me.

“There is just one thing.” I hesitated.

“What?” He said looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

“My mom is a Broadway dancer. She actually is in the show Wicked.” I informed him.

“Ahh, okay. Why is that a big deal?” He asked.

“Well, every time I go to a show I have to come back and say hello. So that means you would be meeting her tonight.” I explained.

“Well okay then.” He said.

“Is it okay if you meet her? I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable or anything.” I asked him.

“Yeah, I think so. It might be a little nerve racking.” He admitted.

“I mean I know why it could be nerve racking, but why is it going to be for you?” I asked him.

“I’ve never met a girl’s mom before.” He told me.

“I am the first one? That’s so sweet.” I cooed.

He just laughed and wrapped around my waist and kissed me.

“We better get going if we are going to get dinner before the show.” Niall said.

Niall’s POV

I can’t believe I am going to meet Mickey’s mom tonight. I am not completely sure how I feel about it. I have never meet a girl’s mom before. It’s nerve-racking. I really like Mickey and all, but we just started dating. I’m really not sure how this is going to go.

Mickey and I got to the car and drove to a small Mexican restaurant.

“Are you okay with Mexican food?” I asked Mickey.

“Yeah, I love it.”

At dinner we talked about her family and my family. We talked about her high school life and how she was a cheerleader, had private dance lessons every night, and she also managed to be her high schools president. She then after graduation went straight to Julliard with Jill. She amazes me, I can’t imagine doing all of that in high school. Although, I we started the band at a semi-early age. She also told me about her dreams. She wanted to graduate first in her class this year from Julliard and then be in the Complexions Contemporary Ballet Company.

We continued to talk through dinner. Mickey was one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life, and I wanted her to know that.

“Mickey, you are so great. You amaze me. All of the things you have accomplished, it’s crazy.” I told her, holding her hand across the table.

“It’s nothing compared to you though.” She said to me.

“Well, yes that’s true, but what you did was more amazing.” I told her.

“Oh stop.” She blushed.

We got through the rest of dinner and then headed for the theater. We got there just in time to see Mickey’s mom.

As soon as Mickey walked in everyone recognized her. I guess I knew it was like to be in her shoes when she’s out with me.

Mickey finally found the person that brought us to see her mom.

“Hold on just a second. I’ll go check to see if she is dressed and ready for company.” The women said.

We waited outside for a minute and then she came back and said it was okay to go in.

“Hi mom.” Mickey squealed as she went to hug her mom.

“I didn’t know you were going to be here.” Mickey’s mom said shocked.

“I didn’t either.” Mickey said.

Her mom then noticed me in the room.

“Well hello there.” She said coming over to me and shaking my hand.

“Niall this is my mom, Jessica. Mom this is my boyfriend, Niall.” Mickey said introducing us.

“I know who you are. We have a lot of little girls running around here with their moms and they are always listing to you and your band. But what I didn’t know was that my daughter was dating you.” Jessica stated.

“I’m sorry mom. That’s my fault. I have just been really busy lately.” Mickey explained.

“Clearly.” Jessica said looking back and forth at both of us.

“10 minutes Mrs. Rosslind.” Said what I assumed was the stage manager.

“Well, dear you better go take your seat. I am off tomorrow, so why don’t we have lunch?” Jessica asked Mickey.

“Sure mom that sounds great. Call me in morning with the details.” Mickey responded.

“Okay dear. I love you.” Jessica said giving Mickey a kiss on the cheek.

“I love you too.”

We founded our seats and watched the musical. At the intermission Mickey turned to talk to me.

“I’m really sorry about that. I didn’t think she would be like that.”

“It’s fine. It was sort of last minute.” I told her.

“I’ll try and figure out a better time for you two to really meet.” She said to me.

“That sounds great.” I responded.

We watched the rest of the show. I then took her home and kissed her good night.

“I’ll call you tomorrow.” Mickey said to me.

“Can’t wait.” I told her.

I watched her walk up to her door and disappear into her apartment.

Even though it was crazy meeting her mom, I had a great time with her.

Mickey’s POV

I felt so horrible about how my mom acted in front of Niall. She was just crazy. I knew I had to make the next time better. But despite the crazy, I had an amazing time with Niall. I was so happy he was mine.
