16. Eleanor and Louis's Date

Eleanor’s POV

It seems Louis took forever to get to get ready. I mean he is just down the hall, who long did he need? I found myself wearing this:

I thought about where Louis would be taking me. He was so unpredictable. Then I finally heard it, a knock at the door. I opened the door to find Louis standing there with beautiful orchids.

“Louis! These are so beautiful. Thank you!” I squealed and gave him a big hug.

“Not as beautiful as you.” Louis said charming me.

“Aw! You are so sweet. You don’t look to bad either Boo Bear.” He rolled his eyes at me. He hates it when I call him that. He was wearing this, by the way:

“So are you ready?” He asked.

“Um, let me just go put the flower in the room and grab my purse then we can go.” I said walking into the room.

I put the flower down on the counter then grabbed my purse and ran to Louis.

“I am ready.” I smiled.

Louis took my hand and we headed out to the taxi waiting for us. He opened the door for me like and gentlemen and we were off.

“So, where are we going?” I questioned.

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you now would it?” She said slyly.

On the ride to where we were going we cuddled in the back seat and got in a few kisses. It seemed crazy to me that Louis and I had almost been dating for 3 years. I wouldn’t be with him on our actual anniversary because I have to fly back before then. I am sort of sad but I am happy for Louis. I want him to do what he loves. At least the boys would be back for Christmas, which was in three weeks from now. But they get two weeks off before they go on tour again. Louis and I will have a lot of time to make up for our anniversary.

I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I hadn’t even noticed that the car had stopped.

“El, where here.” I looked out the window to see that Louis had brought me ice skating.

“Louis, that looks like so much fun but I am not exactly dressed for it.” I stated.

“Ahh, just give it a try. It will be fun.” He coaxed.

“Gahhh! Alright.” I kind of giggled.

Louis and I got out of the car and walked over to the rink. We got our skates from the women that was at the front desk. We sat at the nearest bench when I noticed that nobody was there.

“Louis did you rent the place out or something because there is like nobody here.” I raised an eyebrow at him.

“Yes, I did rent the place out.” He smiled coyly.

I rolled my eyes at him. I mean, I knew why he did it. He wanted the privacy. It was sort of nice that he thought about that.

“Ready my sass master?” He laughed.

“Yes I am Lou Bear.” Again he rolled his eyes.

At first when I stepped on the ice I was a little unsteady. But I had Lou to hang on to and I eventually got the hang of it. We spent a few hours on the ice and then Louis told me it was time for the second part of the date. We got into another taxi and showed up at this place called Serendipity 3. I didn’t know what it was at first and then I remember seeing it on a website about New York that I was looking at right before I came here. It said they were famous for their frozen hot chocolate. I had to order one.

We got into the restaurant and I noticed again that Lou had rented the place out. I didn’t bother saying anything because I knew why. The waiter brought us to our table and handed us a menu. I looked it over even though I already knew what I wanted. The waiter came back in about 5 minutes to take our order. I got my frozen hot chocolate and Lou got one too.

“I am going to run to the restroom.” Louis said standing up to go. I just smiled as he walked away.

It seemed like forever but he finally got back and was looking really nervous.

“What’s wrong with you?” I said giggling at him.

“Oh, nothing.” He couldn’t look me when he said it.

We sat in silence and it was really weird. Normally Louis doesn’t shut up when we are together, so I knew something was up. Finally the waiter came and what I saw I couldn’t believe.

Louis’s POV

I was so nervous. I can’t believe I am doing this. She has to know something is going on. What is taking that waiter so long?

Finally he showed up and El saw it instantly. I grabbed the ring from the top of the treat (thank god it was in a little bowl because it would be really sticky) and I got down on one knee.

“El, we have been dating for almost three years and it has been the best three years of my life. You are my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. You are my everything. Will you marry me Eleanor Calder?” I finally asked.

El didn’t really didn’t talk for a minute. I was hoping it was just nerves. But then she finally said it.

“Yes.” She squeaked.

Eleanor’s POV

Oh my god! He did not just purpose! Holy crap! I knew I wanted to say yes but I was completely speechless. He purposed to me with his ring:

I finally squeaked out a yes. I was so excited! I am going to marry my best friend.
