I've been running all my life. Away from the horrid memories of the sacrifices my mother made to protect me, and to protect my name from this evil world we live in...
But everything's changed...
I've recently found out my mother was murdered by a psychopath; choosing the wrong pill in a game of chance that would give away her secret. That gave away my name.
That cost her her life...
I heard a man named Sherlock Holmes had solved my mother's case along with others who had fallen of the same fate. I must find him so I can warn him: for he does not know what he has gotten himself into...

10. The Secret Date

Go the fuck away…I'm trying to sleep...

"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT I'M COMING." I yell as I get up and put on my robe over my Ramones t-shirt and underwear and slugged towards the door. I unlocked and opened the door to have my vision blocked by a nice smelling bouquet of white tulips and red roses.

"Hello Ms. Sunshine." I hear behind the bouquet. I quickly tie-up my robe just before PJ's face peers over the flowers. He sees that I'm not fully dressed, his cheeks turn very, very pink…almost too pink, if you ask me...

"I'll um…I'll go get dressed…" I say nervously as he sets the bouquet on the table and waits patiently as I pull on an over-sized navy blue sweater and black leggings in my room. When I come out, PJ had put the bouquet in a vase for me. We both smile and chuckle nervously, and I remembered why he was here in the first place from yesterday.

"So, where's your knife?" I ask jokingly. We both chuckle again, but now PJ isn't the only one with pink cheeks.

"So…what do you want to do on this fine day?"

And that question started the best day of my life...

We walked to Trafalgar Square at about 4-ish, bubble teas from Chinatown this morning in hand, where he told me about this crazy story idea he had called "The Forever Train". It was certainly a grand idea, but I then brought up a question that had been on my mind since he walked into my flat today...

"Hey PJ...why did you bring me those flowers?"

His face turned slightly pink again. He smiled, but he didn't reply.

I start to laugh a little. "Luckily for you, it's my birthday today." PJ looked kind of surprised.

"Wait...it's your birthday?"

"Yeah," I reply. "I've never really celebrated my birthday that much, and I haven't really gotten a present since my mum moved me to North England...well, except my phone when I turned 14."

PJ suddenly takes my hand, pulls me up from my seat, and takes off at break-neck speed.

"PJ!" I yell over the wind rushing in my ears. "WHERE ARE WE GOING?!"

"YOU'LL SEE!" He yells back. We zoom through the city at an unimaginable speed, and soon enough I get really tired of running. I decide to keep on, though my legs were burning and my throat and mouth were like a desert, for PJ's sake. He seems really eager to take me where he wants to go...

Soon we are on just the border of the urban part of town, and after another five minutes or so of running, we collapsed onto the soft, tall grass beneath us. We both dare not to speak, scared that any attempt will cause us to faint. So we wait, hearing the everlasting buzz that has changed key to a gentle hum of the city below, and the chirp of finches in the forest above, not to mention our lungs letting as much air in and out until we catch our breath.

PJ is the first to get his breath back, which he shows by getting up and going into the forest. I try to stop him from leaving, but only turn over to my stomach from my back as I feel my lungs slowly give out. He's back by the time I catch my breath, and I have to pull myself up by the bottom of my dark blue converse. PJ comes back with a basket and blanket for some reason, to which I inquire:

"Where did you get that?!"

We both start to smile as he sets down the blanket, sits, and pats a spot next to him, gesturing for me to sit too.

"I've been coming to this place ever since I moved to London." He explains as he opens and hands me a can of Coke. "Earlier this week, I went exploring in the forest and found this little nook in one of the trees. So today before I woke you up, I made some food and placed the basket and blanket in the hiding place." He takes a sip from his Dr. Pepper.

"So you WERE planning a date?" I inquire. He chuckles nervously and nods. "Well that was very sweet of you..." I then start to turn a little nervous. "No one's ever done something like this for me before...I mean..."

Pretty soon my heart starts to race and my voice starts to crack. I soon have no control over what my body is doing. PJ realizes and does the only thing he thinks he can do since I am at a loss for words.

His warm lips touched mine in desperate passion, and it felt fantastic. As we were kissing, I thought of only one thing:

So...this is what true love feels like...
