I've been running all my life. Away from the horrid memories of the sacrifices my mother made to protect me, and to protect my name from this evil world we live in...
But everything's changed...
I've recently found out my mother was murdered by a psychopath; choosing the wrong pill in a game of chance that would give away her secret. That gave away my name.
That cost her her life...
I heard a man named Sherlock Holmes had solved my mother's case along with others who had fallen of the same fate. I must find him so I can warn him: for he does not know what he has gotten himself into...

23. Love Can Build, Yet It Can Destroy

A few minutes later, Dan, Chris and I all eye a cab pulling to the side of Trafalgar Square. We all see Phil climb out of the car with something that looked like a huge glob of red from where we were sitting at the fountain.

"SHIT! HE ACTUALLY CAME!" Chris says a bit too loudly. Dan suggests that they hide in some bushes nearby, but just before I can protest, Phil starts walking over with a hand suspiciously behind his back. Chris and Dan dive for the bushes while I stand and wave to direct his attention to me and away from them and their idiotic hiding spot.

"Hi, Rachel..." Phil says, his voice trembling. He was clearly nervous; he was practically shaking in his black high-top converses.

"Hey, Phil." I say kindly to try to calm his nerves. I attempt to look behind his back, but he turns just enough so I can't see. "What's behind your back?" I ask with a curious smile.

"Um...it's, uh..." I could see Phil was starting to work up a nervous sweat. If I wasn't the person he liked and just happened to be there, I would've helped be more calm. I just would've helped in general; not hide out in a shrub like the chickens that Dan and Chris are.

Sadly, that is not how the cards have been played.

I take Phil's visibly shaking hand and pull him down to sit at the edge of the fountain.

"Are you okay?" I say comfortingly. This clearly just makes him even more nervous, and his sweating intensifys. He then awkwardly gets on one knee and pulls out the biggest boquet of red roses that I have ever seen.

"RACHEL WILSON I LOVE YOU." Phil yells in a calm yet awkward monotone. "AND WHEN I LIFTED YOU UP WHEN WE DANCED TOGETHER YOU LOOKED LIKE A GRACEFUL PROUD LIONESS." He gets up, lays the roses on the ground, and sits back down on the side of the fountain to cup my face in his hands. "Rachel Wilson..." He says, now his voice down to barely a whisper. "You are the most beautiful human being I have ever encountered."

And he kisses me.

We seperate from our kiss, and tears are suprisingly now in Phil's crystal blue eyes. He stands, places something where he sits, and walks away.

"Phil..." I say quietly as I touch my lips. I look down at what he placed on his seat: My Melody Malone book he borrowed.

"PHIL!!!" I hear Dan yell as he runsfrom the bush to Phil's aid. Chris just gets up and shakes his head at me, then dashes off to Phil's aid along side Dan.

I pull out my phone.

Missed Call: PJ Ligouri aka Hot Boyfriend

I put my phone down and cover my mouth as I feel the tears stream down my face. I pick up the boquet of roses off the pavement and cradle them in my arms as is they were a newborn child.

"I'm sorry Phil..." I whisper to the roses before I drop them to the ground with a deafening thud.

"Hey darling, you missed my call. Look...Chris and Dan have been texting me about something that happened between you and Phil in Trafalgar Square, and I don't know if it's true, but if it is...just come and talk to me about it, okay? I'm always going to be there for you babe. Always."
