One More Night

Lately in Dawn's life, things have been... Traumatic to say the least. First her parents die, not in a car crash but suicide. She has no idea why though. Then the next day her friends start disappearing one by one until there's hardly any left. What's been happening? Why is everyone dying? What's wrong with the town?

3. Chapter Two

"Dawn, why were you so rude? Do you really want people to talk about you?" My mum says as I climb into the car, putting my bag next to me and pulling my phone out.

"To be honest with you, I really don't care. He looked like a weirdo anyway." I mumble, typing away on my phone. Mum just sighs and says something under her breath and finally she starts up the car.

"Do you want me to take all phone privileges away from you?" Mum says. I shoot my head up from my phone and shake my head furiously. I knew she wasn't just saying that, she took my phone away for nearly a whole month once. Worst month of my life.

"Well be nice to that neighbour or I will." Mum says with gritted teeth. I sigh and nod, locking my phone and putting it back into my pocket. I stare out the window and watch the rain fall down from the sky, pelting against the car window. I knew this wasn't going to be a good day already.

I notice a familiar building as my mum turns up into the car park. The rain had gotten heavier within the five minutes it took to get from my house to the school. My mum parked into an empty spot and opened the car door for me. I grabbed my bag and sprinted into the school after stepping out of the car but no matter how fast I sprinted I was still soaked through to the bone. I guess I'll be standing near the radiator for a while then.
