Me, an angel? Yeah right!

'I’m surrounded by white fluffy clouds, and I have wings! That’s right I’m a freaking angel.'
Jade is dead, she doesn't know how, she doesn't know why. All she does know is that she's an angel. With no memory of her life and just the mysterious Kye to guide her, she must discover what happened to her, whilst trying to be a good angel of course.

8. Earth

 Jade’s P.O.V

Tears welled in my eyes, “I can’t believe I forgot my own sister.” I still could barely remember her, only her face was familiar to me. Kye put his arm around my shoulders, and I nestled into him. “It’s okay Jade, she’s fine I promise you.”
“How do you know?” I said accusingly. He smiled his cocky smile.
“I’ll prove it, when we go to Earth.” I have to see her; I need to know what happened to her, what happened to me. “Take me there, now.” I said eagerly, but he shook his head softly.
“Sleep first, it’s nearly nine in the evening on Earth, there’s no point going now, I’ll take you tomorrow.” He conjured the bed again for me, and I walked over to it. I quickly changed my clothes to pj’s just because I could, lay down and fell asleep.

Kye’s P.O.V

She slept restlessly, tossing and turning, luckily her wings were safely tucked away or she would have damaged them. She seemed to be talking in her sleep, having conversations with people who weren’t there. Once or twice she said my name, and for some reason this made me smile. At some point during the night I dozed off, sleeping briefly, but waking as she talked in her sleep again.

Finally morning came and she woke with a start as she tossed right out of bed and onto the floor. Well mostly on me actually, as I had slept beside the bed. Her hair was ruffled, and she had a dazed look on her face, but she was still cute. “Morning,” I smiled at her; she just yawned in reply, still not fully with it. I sat back and relaxed, eating a cereal bar I had conjured, whilst she changed her appearance. “What’s the weather like?” She questioned me thoughtfully. I shrugged.
“It’s summer, but this is England we’re talking about.” She laughed quickly, and settled on shorts, a loose fitting top, and a precautionary hoodie. “Let’s go!”

“First things first, take my hand; Earth is a long way to transport by yourself when you have only just learned so I’ll help. But I need to know where we’re going.” She looked at me in confusion. “Angels can share thoughts and memories, its difficult and you can’t share with everyone, only certain people. Close your eyes, and envision that there’s a door to your mind, now imagine me walking through it. Show me the memory of your sister an-” I broke off as a face filled my mind. Bright flame red hair, surrounded a round babyish face, she had big brown eyes and a gap toothed smile. A single thought came with it, ‘Mara’.

Jade’s P.O.V

“Wow,” He breathed. “The resemblance between you two is remarkable, despite the eyes. And I have never read someone’s thoughts that clearly, you really are an amazing angel,” I glowed in the light of his praise; it was nice being gifted at something, even if it was just being dead. “Now what?” I asked gently letting go of his hand.
“Now we’re both going to completely focus on Mara, and transport to her, it takes a lot of power to transport this far so you really need to concentrate. I won’t let anything happen of course, I’m just saying this will drain your energy a bit.” I nodded, taking it all in. He wrapped his arms around me pulling me close, “Don’t let go, okay?” I smiled up at him, leaning my head against his chest. “On three... three!” I laughed at him, as we shrunk as one, the energy flowing through both of us. The familiar pinching and tingling filled my body, and then died away a few seconds later.

I opened my eyes, blinking in the harsh sunlight.
