Truly, Madly, Deeply

"I love your laugh, your smile, everything about you. I love how you trust me no matter what, and I love the way you make the best of everything. And Felicity, I love you."

9. A Weird Day

I wake up to a pillow being thrown in my face.

  “Wake up.” Brooke yells.

What happened to her? Why did she go from my sweet little sister to my rebel sibling? That’s when I remembered what happened. How I was a complete jerk to Brooke. I’m such a horrible person! I hurry up and get dressed and head downstairs. When I come to the table, Brooke’s already there munching on her food fiercely. I go to her chair and kneel down.

“Brooke? I’m sorry for what I said yesterday. I didn’t mean it,” I said. Brooke takes a second to consider my apology then she hugs me.

“Just don’t be a meany again, okay?”

  “Okay,” I mumble.

When I arrive at school, I head to Mr. Rissmen’s class, somehow ignoring all of the snickering and the name-calling.

I hesitate to walk into the classroom. It just meant spending more time with Harry, and I have to admit, I’m a little embarrassed because of last night. And I’m usually not embarrassed so that says something. Point is, I’m dreading every second I have to spend with Harry. Even at this school.

“Class take your seats.” Mr. Rissmen instructed.

We all take our seats and point our attention to the teacher (well some of us. Some people are too busy being love struck idiots *cough* Harry and Brittany *cough*)

“How are the groups going?” he asks.

A mumble runs through the classroom. All of the mumbles were something along the lines of:

“I’d rather DIE than work with my partner”

What a positive attitude they have.

“Well, you will get some time in class. If you need help brainstorming, a pair of partners can work with another pair.”

Instantly Brittany’s face showed an eager expression and showed it towards Harry's direction while jumping all over him. She turns her chair so it’s facing his. I pick up my chair and join their circle. Giselle soon follows.

“Hey Brittany! I’m SOOO excited that we’re partners! So what should we do for the project?!” she asks super-eager.

“Hey! Can you do me one little favor?” she asks. Giselle nods.

“Could you tone it down a notch? You’re REALLY annoying.” She said coldly. Automatically Giselle quiets down.

“What about you Felicity? Why are you so quiet?”

“Beats talking to you.” I mumble.

“Why would anyone want to talk to you, Felicity?” she said.

I stare at her in shock because of how right she is. I’m a nobody at school and I can’t talk to anyone at home. I mean there’s Brooke, but even then we don’t have a normal conversation.

“Awww, did I hurt your feelings? Well, get used to it. No one likes you. I bet your own parents don’t want you,” she said.

Again, she’s completely right. My parents probably don’t want me and I’m positive no one likes me.

Being my sensitive-self, I can’t help but to have tears threatening to spill over. I get up and run out the door. I can’t let her see me like this, I can’t let her win. Then again, running out of the classroom isn’t any better…

“Are you ok?” I turn around and see Harry standing there. Wait, HARRY STYLES is asking me if I’m okay? Hmm…

“I’m fine,” I say coldly. I don’t care how sincere he may seem, he’s still a jerk.

“No seriously. I know how Brittany can be sometimes…” he said trailing off.

“Yeah, well I don’t need anyone’s help, and certainly not from you.” I said scolding him.

“Whatever,” he said and walks back to class.
