After

Lauren was having the dullest day of her life. She'd woken up, got dressed for school and her little brother spilled cereal all over her literature essay she'd spent two weeks working on.

Life couldn't get any worse.

Or so she thought.
Now, she has Death to contend with, just as she was going to get a nice coffee and a hot fresh do-nut.

There may be a sequel to this soon, so keep an eye out if you're interested! :)

11. Reaper says:_________

I opened my eyes, hearing a constant irregular beeping sound, and for a moment thought I was getting a text off Reaper, but looked around and saw I was in a hospital room.

I remembered now.

I looked down and saw my Mum lying on my bed, sleeping. Her hair was greasy, and she looked really tired, even in sleep.

'I love you Reaper.' I whispered. 'Thank you.' For a moment, I felt a breeze caress my face, then it was gone.

'Mum?' I said, putting out a hand to touch her shoulder. Slowly, she opened her eyes, and blinked up at me, frowning.

'Lauren?' She asked, still sleepy. I grinned, wincing at the twinge of pain in my head.

She was wide awake instantly, and threw herself on me, careful not to catch any of the tubes sticking out of me, repeating my name over and over again, crying into my hair.

'I'm okay Mum.' I said, hugging her back.

'I'm getting your Father and brothers right now!' She said when she finally disentangled herself from me. She quickly left the room, fumbling with her mobile as tears streamed down her face.

I knew then, that Reaper had made the right decision for me.

If I had my way, I would have caused those tears to be of sadness, not of joy.

I felt something under the blankets as I rested my arms, and pulled it out.

It was the iPhone Reaper had given me.

Lauren says: Reaper, Thank you. My Mum is so happy. You've made me happy too. I will wait to see you, and I look forward to it, but won't try and bring it on too soon. I'll let nature take it's course. I love you. Good bye.

I stared at the screen as the phone messaged me:

Unable to send to this number.

I sighed, and rested the phone on the bedside unit.

I could already hear my family running up the corridor, shouting happily.

'I love you too Lauren.' I heard Reapers voice whisper on a breeze, before my life began again.
