Give me love

"Give a little time to me, or burn this out. We'll play hide and seek, to turn this around. All I want, is the taste that your lips allow,"
Sometimes love can be found in the most unexpected places. Sometimes, you fall for the wrong people. Keigan Summers is a wallflower, who minds her own business along with her best, and only, friend, Harry Styles. Lyrics are her life, music is her escape.

Makenna Ross is your typical popular girl - dating the quarterback of the football team, Liam Payne, best friends with the rest of the team. She's got everything she ever wanted, except for one person.

What happens when the two worlds collide? It's always been said that love is blind - it sees no age or appearance. Can love pull through, this time, though?

1. Chapter 1

Give Me Love

Chapter One:

*Keigan's POV*

I sit behind the school, alone, with my notebook. My headphones are in my ears, about to be filled with music. I scroll through my iPod, before settling on a song, by Ed Sheeran.

Slow, meaningful, songs have always been my favorite. It's my way to escape from the cruel, harsh, world of reality.

As the lyrics begin to flow through me, I uncap my red marker. Bringing my legs up close to my chest, I begin to scribble the lyrics onto the knees of my jeans. I get lost in my own world, and am only brought down from my high by a tap on my shoulder. I open my eyes, to see the cury-haired boy I've been waiting for.

"Hey," I say, pausing the music.

"Hey, Keigs," Harrt smiles, sitting down next to me. "What are you up to?"

I shrug. "Not much."

"Care if I join you?"

"Not at all," I say. "Want an earphone?"

He nods, slipping the earbud into his ear, relaxing against the side of the school.

"Got any Ed Sheeran?" he asks me, as if he can read my mind. I roll my eyes.

"Of course," I say, restarting the song.

Harry is just like me. A wallflower, if you will. Never been kissed, never been noticed, never even had another friend, aside from eachother.

But at least he's got a chance to break out of his shell, and spread his wings like a butterfly. With his curly brown hair, emerald green eyes, and dimples on either side of his heart shaped mouth, I'm sure someone would easily fall for him.

Me? I'm fine staying the caterpillar. Jet black hair, and blue eyes that are amplified with glasses may work on some people. But not me.

I don't realize the bell has gone until Harry stands up, holding out his hand to help me. I grasp it, and pull myself up. I gather my things, shoving it into my backpack, and we walk back inside, in silence.

"What do you have next?" he asks me.

"Science," I sigh. "With the popular's."

"Do they talk to you?" he asks, narrowing his eyes.

"No one does," I mumble.

"What?" he asks.

"No. I said no."

And it's true. As much as I would like it to happen, they don't notice me. At all. Even though I sit behind the quarterback of the football team, Liam Payne.

"Oh," Harry says. "Well, I'm off to Home Ec."

"See you in music?" I say.

"Save me a seat," he winks, before walking the opposite way.

I quickly walk to the Science lab, and sit at a table. No one comes to sit beside me, which I am perfectly okay with.

Liam takes his usual seat in front of me, and I feel my heartbeat speed up a little. Okay, maybe a lot. I might have a teensy bit of a crush on him.

But it doesn't matter. He's got a girlfriend, Makenna Ross, the most popular girl in school. And she's perfect. Long, flowing blonde hair, with dazzling green eyes. Her long, skinny frame is always accented with her cheerleading skirt. Figures, she's captain of the cheer squad.

"Hey, babe," Liam says to her as she sits down beside him. He kisses her softly.

I wonder what it's like to be kissed.

The teacher walks in, introducing a new boring lecture.

By the end of class, I'm one of the last people in there. I fell asleep. When I wake up, it's only me left in the classroom. I gather my things, and walk to the door.

As I turn a corner in the hallway, I run into someone. My books go flying everywhere, my notes scattering on the floor. Not to mention me, falling to the ground, hitting my head. I groan.

"Ow," I say.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" A male's voice says. The boy helps me up as I clutch my forehead.

"I'm fine," I lie, biting back the tears stinging at my eyes. The boy brushes some hair out of my face, to check out my hurt forehead. My heart stops. Of course, it had to be Liam.

"Whoa," I hear him breathe, quietly.

"Is everything okay?" I ask. He nods, his eyes not leaving mine.

"You look familiar," he says. "Have I seen you before?"

"I'm in your science class," I mumble. "But I have to go."

I quickly pick up my things, and briskly walk away.

"Wait!" I hear Liam call. I turn around. "I'll see you in Science." He smiles a heartmelting smile, that reaches his soft brown eyes.

I smile, nodding, trying to keep my heart from exploding out of my chest.

I practically run to music class, sliding into my normal seat, beside Harry.

"Whoa, what's got your knickers in a twist?" he grins. I roll my eyes.

"The wierdest thing just happened," I say. "Liam noticed me!"

"Liam?" he questions. "As in, Liam Payne?"

"Yes!" I whisper-shout. His mouth drops open.

"Wow," he says. "That's crazy!"

I nod, slowing down my breathing.

"Isn't he just dreamy?" I say, sighing.

"No," he says. "But his girlfriend is."

"Makenna?" I ask. He nods. I roll my eyes. Figures he would go for the perfect ones.

Ms. Chabosky, my favorite teacher, walks in.

"Class, we have another student joining our class today," she says.

"Wonder who it is," Harry whispers to me. I shrug.

"Everyone, let's welcome Liam!"

My mouth drops. Harry's mouth drops.

Because Liam freaking Payne is now in my music class.
