Alaina Snow: The Guardian

Alaina Snow is like Jack Frost. She can make winter appear, Snow to come, Ice Cicles to form... All of it... So can Jack Frost... Alaina isn't happy to meet Jack at first, but later on, she warms up to him alot.

5. Meeting New People

"So, you've watched over me from before, yes?" I asked.

"Yes," He said as we were walking to a place Jack is guiding me to.

"What was I like?" I asked. "Was I pretty? Was I mean? Was I nice?"

"You were really pretty," He said smiling. "You also had a huge attitude towards your parents, your teachers, other people you weren't friends with, but when it came to your little sister and your other siblings you were really nice, and respectful."

"What was Sabrina like?" I asked.

"She was adorable, she looked like you." He said.

"What did I used to look like?" I asked.

"From what I remember, you had pretty hazel eyes, you were really short, you still are short so no change there--Ow!"

I just smacked him. Don't call me shortie, short stuff, or small fry, unless you want to be a snowman for the rest of your days.

"Anyways," He said, rubbing his shoulder. "You had dirty blonde hair, and you were always so... what's the word? Energetic, you were always running, jogging, racing, playing alot."

"What else?" I asked.

"That's all I remember, pretty much," He said.

"Oh," I said. "By the way, where are we going?"
"A place," He said.

"Thanks, that clears it up so much," I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Don't worry, we're almost there." He said smiling again.

"Hmm..." I said.

"What?" He asked. "Oh never mind, wait, here--close your eyes."

"Why do I--"

"Just do it," He said.

After I closed my eyes, he grabbed my wrist and then we kept walking.

Abruptly he stopped. Then it felt like I was on a rollar coaster, you know how when you go on a rollar coaster and you're going up and up and suddenly you drop into a free-fall, you know how your stomach feels like it's preforming in the olympics? It felt like that.

"Jack!" I exclaimed.

Then it stopped. I opened my eyes and pryed Jack's hand off of my wrist.

I gasped as I looked around. It was a winter wonderland! My dream place to live now!

"Welcome," Jack said. "To the North Pole."

"North Pole?" I asked. "Where's Santa then?" I joked.

"Look behind you," A voice with a heavy Russian accent said behind me.

I crossed my arms over my chest and turned around.

My jaw dropped as I saw a 6 foot tall Santa Claus. I mean, the beard, red and white, the boots and everything. I just didn't know Santa Claus was Russian.

"Hello Alaina," He said.

I recovered from my shock. "Hey Santa, quick question, why am I here?"

"Perhaps you should come inside, you'll freeze out here." He said, then laughed at his own joke.

We followed Santa into his workshop, which was like 15 stories tall. And inside, there were yetis.

"Where are the elves?" I asked curiously.

This time it was Santa and Jack who laughed.

"We don't use the elves," Santa said. "Yetis have more frame to their work."

"Oh," I said as we started walking up a flight of stairs.

Suddenly Jack started floating.

"Woah!" I exclaimed. "How do you do that?"

"You don't really know how to use your element, do you?" He asked, using his tree staff to hook onto my foot and lift me up.

Soon, I was gliding with him.

I laughed. "This is awesome!"

"This is why I wanted to teach you so bad!" He exclaimed.

I laughed and raced him up the many stair cases. I won.

"Rematch later Snow," Jack said scowling that I beat him.

"You're on Frosty!" I said and we shook hands.

"Alright, alright," Santa said who was right behind us. For a big man he moved really fast.

I turned aroundd--still floating--and saw the people from some of my childhood stories.

I saw Santa, a man made of sand(He's awesome.), a green/pink/blue flying lady(With wings.), and the Easter...

"Kangaroo?" I asked.

Jack doubled over laughing and Kangaroo man narrowed his eyes at me.

"I'm a bunny," He growled in an austrailian accent.

"Yeah. . . I don't think so." I said.

Jack was still laughing. I admit, I had to smile, it was nice to see him laugh.

"I am the Easter Bunny," He narrowed his eyes and growled again.

"Yep, sure you are," I said waving him off.

Everyone was staring at me intently. "What's up, why am I here?" I asked.

"You are here because you are different," Santa said. "You are like Jack,"

"Um, duh! I already know that Jingle Bells!" I snapped.

"No, no, you were like Jack from before," He said. "You loved your little sister, you loved to make her laugh, you loved to play games with her, games like tag, hide-and-seek."

I've tried to remember stuff like that, but every single time I try, I always end up hitting a brick wall.

"You also loved the winter. Winter is the season you died in, that is why 'tis your element." Santa said softly.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! "Why am I here then?!" I shouted. "You already have Frosty here, so what, I'm his side-kick?"

Jack held up his hand an staff. "Alaina, calm down--"

"Don't tell me to calm down!" I said and instinctly, I pushed my hand out my hand and blasted the Talking Kangaroo with snow.

Jack stepped back. "Impressive,"

With that I flew out of the room(literaly), down the many stairs and out of the work-shop.

"Alaina wait!" Jack called after me, but I ignored him.
