The Hunger Games: Breaking Freedom

As you know I'm obsessed with the Hunger Games so I thought that I would make a fourth book about Katniss' life with her children and Peeta. YOU NEED TO HAVE READ ALL THE HUNGER GAMES BOOKS!

10. Haymitch

After about ten minutes of walking, sudden gunshots ring out along the town of District twelve. I wan to stay on trail, on our way to the next District, but the hero's of District Twelve had to save the day.

"You stay here, get ready to take in the wounded." Peeta drops off his packs and goes after Katniss toward town. I gather a few nightlock berries for the ones we can't save, and to keep in our pockets in case we get caught. Then I gather some of the leaves that cure Tracker Jacker stings, and some black berries from a nearby bush to snack on, I have a feeling we are going to be feeding a lot more than just us now. There can't be many survivors, with the bombs and gun shootout together, but there has to be some. No matter how injured they are, they're alive. That's more than I can say for most of my friends, and Katniss's and Peeta's.

A soft humming comes from above, and when I look, a hovercraft is almost completely overhead. Taking cover under a nearby bush, three more crafts fly over before I'm able to come out. I don't have very much time left before Katniss and Peeta will be back, I must hurry. A locate a small stream by a clearing in the woods. I gather water in  seven canisters and treat it with the chemicals in Peeta's pack. I make five sets of rationed healing supplies. Then lay the five blankets in mine and Katniss's pack in the clearing near the lake.

"Haymitch!" Katniss doesn't sound far, but sounds like she needs help. I run as fast as my beat legs can carry me, and find them no farther than fifty yards away.

Katniss is supporting two young teens, but can barley hold herself up. A long gash is going down her arm, and what can only be a bullet has made it's way into her leg.

Peeta isn't wounded himself, but he's still about to fall over. He has another twelve year old over his shoulder, a woman my age at his arm, and a older teenager on his back.

Three adults are off to the side, helping each other through the woods. I quickly take Katniss's wounded survivors, and she falls to the ground, out cold.

"Katniss!" Peeta almost drops his survivors to help her.

"Peeta, don't. I will come back, just stay here." I keep my voice own, in case we are being watched. Which is most likely the case.

I take the evacuees to the clearing I set up. Lying them down I can see that one has a small but deep cut on their chest, and the other has debris from the bombs embedded in his skin. I don't stop to look at them any further before I run back to where a knocked out Katniss, and wounded citizens of District Twelve.
