4. 'It's only a little girl'

“ROUGE WAKE UP!” I heard a male voice yell. At first I thought it was my father, but I knew that he wouldn’t have come looking for me so I knew it couldn’t be him. I tried to move to look at the person who had yelled at me previously but found I couldn’t move without my body screaming in pain and rejecting the movements. A small whimper left my lips and the man who had shouted took that as a sign that I was awake. “Look at me, rouge! Show your face! He yelled once more. I wanted to move but I couldn’t. The pain was too much. The man, who I’m guessing was the Alpha, grabbed me by my shoulders and flipped me over so I was lying on my back staring up at him. A cry of pain left my chapped lips as I almost lost conciseness due to the overwhelming pain. I heard the multiple intake of breathes from around me, meaning there was more than one person here. “It’s only a little girl.” I heard one say, the rest of the voices were just mumbles in the background. “My God, look at her wounds! Get the pack doctor. NOW!” I heard the Alpha yell as he carefully cradled me in his lap. Another cry left my mouth as he moved my battered body. I lifted my heavy eyes to his face to see a worried expression on it. He must have been in his late twenties and had black hair and brown eyes. “Who did this to you?” he asked in a small voice, more to himself rather than me, as he studied my blood stained clothes and wounds. His eyes lingered on the claw marks across my collar bone. “Where is the doctor?!” He yelled again making me winch and whimper. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He whispered gently. “I’m here” said a feminine voice from behind him. Another head appeared beside the Alpha; she was pretty with the same brown eyes and black hair but had entirely different features, they were obviously related. “Oh my!” the doctor said with a gasp. ”We have to get her to the pack house, the sun is setting and her wounds are too severe to treat out here.” A determined expression took over her shocked one as she went into business mode. The Alpha started to get up, taking me with him. He carried me bridal style as I cried into his shoulder due to the intense pain. “I’m so sorry, so sorry, it will be okay” he whispered soothing words to me all the way to the house. As we got closer I could hear a mountain voices inside the house, but as the Alpha barged through the front door all the shouting and whispering completely stopped. The Alpha didn’t acknowledge any of the people at all as he continued deeper into the large house. I was placed gently down on a large bed. And then I fell back into the darkness.
