Obsidian

Edit: since I finished this, I have made major changes to Chesha and her story. I will be rewriting this

Chesha is the elven princess of Aakridi, a planet across the sun from Earth. When heroes arrive at her planet unexpectedly with a human girl who looks oddly like Chesha, weird things start to happen.

12. Earth

How did I know I was on Earth? Simple, it wasn't as vibrant or clean as Aakridi. I sat down for a moment, thinking of what had happened. Emma had said when I'd first met her that when the two teams were about to fight a blinding white hole had sucked them up. I had been sucked up by a blinding white hole, but i had said a spell, not just randomly been sucked up. I thought to when I was in the forest. In forests was where most elves magic became more powerful, mine had I'd felt it when I'd summoned my bow. Sometimes magic went outta whack when people least expected it, sometimes you could cast a spell and not even know about it. Hey, one of Dad's lessons came in handy.

As I stood, I guessed that I had probably cast the same spell on the X-men and the Avengers as I had on myself. But how?

"I'll figure it out later." I said to myself and started walking.

My long ears picked up very few sounds of animals and birds. I furrowed my eyebrows with confusion, why wasn't there a lot of life in this forest besides plants? My elven ears twitched as they picked up another sound. Cars. Yes, Aakridi had cars. Some towns and cities had cars, for example, one town near my kingdom had cars, and I often went there to learn how to race cars. I peered from behind a bush to a highway. Four lanes of noisy cars hurt my ears. I spotted a large green sign and read it. Two miles until New York. Oh yay, I got to walk two miles to a place I'd never been. As I walked along in the trees, careful to keep the highway in sight, I thought about what I would do. I was alone on a planet I'd never been to before, and I had large pointy ears.

I continued walking until a reached a sign that said welcome to New York. The line of trees ended and I stared out into fields upon fields of farm land. I noticed most of them had tall corn stalks. I ran from the trees, plunging into the corn and waiting. No one had seen me, good. I continued walking, crouching down a little just to make sure no one would see me. I stopped in the middle of a field and looked around, no roads or anyone in sight. Maybe I'd try that spell again. I took a deep breath and said, "Slanochi wanuo fira."

Nothing. I waited a couple minutes and nothing happened. I hadn't said it wrong, so what was the problem? 'I'll try later.' I thought and continued through the fields.
