A woman finds herself in a dark room, and begins to uncover deeply buried memories.

Short story. Based on the poem 'confession' by janice windle. I orginally wrote this for an english essay.

4. White paint

She dug deeper, became more and more curious about the man she should know.

Another scene entered her mind. Light flooding into a white room, the smell of paint was thick in the air.

Her clothing was splattered with heavy brush strokes of paint. Behind her, a deep voice chuckled and whispered. She felt pressure on her back, and touched the white paint that was now stroked across it.

Her body turned, and the shakes in her stomach returned, releasing a distant echo of laughter again. She tried to laugh now but didn’t understand how. What could she laugh for? The grey, plain room she stood in offered no means of humour.
