Sawyer hates the thought of school simply because they are there.
Yep, the thought of them gives her chills.
Who am I talking about?
The one and only Louis Tomlinson and his girlfriend Stacey Porter.

9. Watch your back

When I wake up in the morning, my face is stained with tears, and my eyes are red and puffy from sleeping in my contacts. It is at that moment that I decide I am done. I am done with taking all of Louis's bullshit. I am done with failing my classes. I am done with everyone and basically everything, and now I'm finally going to do something about it.

There's going to be no more name-calling and quiet whispers about how ugly I am. Louis isn't going to put me down anymore.

I'm done being pitiful.

My eyes are red and bothering me, so I just take out my contacts and put on my thick black rimmed glasses. I can put my contacts back in after first period, since my glasses are nowhere near as strong as they need to be. I have terrible vision.

After my shower, I straighten my long red hair, and pull on an over-sized black button down, and some maroon leggings, along with my black combat boots.

I'm not really in the mood to care about how I look.

After getting dressed, I throw my backpack over my shoulder and hurry down the stairs. I'm not going to be taking any shit from Clay or his parents this morning.

*Clay's point of view*

Sawyer comes rushing down the stairs, and tries to run out the door before I stop her.

"Wait," I say, and she pauses for a minute, almost as if she is trying to decide whether to ignore me or not. After about a minute, she turns around and glares at me.

That's when I see it.

It looks like something has changed inside her.

When we were kids, you could see the joy in her bright green eyes. But lately, they have been gray and dull, almost as if they're dead.

But the look she has today is completely different. Her eyes look crazy, almost. It actually really scares me.

"What?" She asks, but she puts it out more like a statement.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"You've never cared before, so it doesn't matter now." She says, rolling her eyes.

"Don't do it." I plead. I know Sawyer, I always have. And I'm sad to say I've seen that look on her face before. It was so long ago, but the look still scares me, and I'm so afraid of what she might do.

"Oh, it really doesn't matter to you what I'm going to be doing. It actually wont affect you at all. But just tell Louis one thing for me." She says, and I almost feel a chill go down my spine. The tone of her voice is sick.

"Watch your back." She hisses, and walks out of the room. She always has had the habit of leaving dramatically after saying something, as if the conversation is automatically over.

But this is different. Ominous, actually.
