7. Words I Never Want To Say Again

Niall's POV-

I knock on Cammy's door and ask her if I can come in. I hear her sobs come closer to the door. The door opens and I see my angel, bawling her eyes out, standing infront of me. I feel her arms wrap around me and I bend down to hug her. I don't know why she is crying, but clearly she needs comfort. I pick her up and close the door, then walk over to her bed. I lay her down and sit next to her. Her cries have slowed down and I rub her face gently.

"What's wrong, Cam?" I ask gently.

"I'm fine," she shyly answers.

"You know you can tell me anything," I whisper. She nods her head and takes a deep breath.

"Please listen, I don't want to ever say this again. I get bullied in school. I have ever since I was in school. My whole school life. I get physically and mentally abused by every kid. There were some kids who bullied me more than others. I started to believe them. All of the terrible words they called me. I felt as if I deserved every hit, kick, and punch I got. I still believe it," she says. I engulf her in a hug.

"Please don't believe it. Please. They are all wrong. Do you know the number one reason for bullying?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Because they are jealous and insecure themselves." The smallest smile tugs at her lips. "So they would literally just hurt you and the teachers did nothing?" I ask assuming. She nods her head.

"Not like I got enough at home." she mumbles, probably not meant for me to hear, but I did. I don't know what she is talking about but this is not the right time to speak about that.

I feel torn right now. I'm sad that she is terrified to go to school and that she was bullied. Yet I can't help but feel happy that she told me this. She opened up and felt comfortable enough to tell me something really personal. I know it's not her whole story, but it's a start.

"Angel, I'll talk to the boys. Okay? Maybe we'll take you to a private school or get a personal tutor. Don't worry. I won't let anyone hurt you ever again. I promise," I says.

"Niall?" She looks up into my eyes.

"Yes?" I say.

"I love you," she says smiling. My heart swells and the biggest smile appears on my face.

"I love you too," I say, then kiss her nose. She giggles.

The boys don't compare. Singing doesn't compare. My family doesn't compare. My friends don't compare. Nothing compares.

Cammy is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
