68. There's Something I Haven't Told You

Cammy's POV-

"Thanks for bringing me back, Lucy!" I say as I get out of her car. "No problem, I had fun!" she says. "Me too! We'll definitely have to do it again sometime!" I say and close the door.

We both wave goodbye and then I walk inside the hotel. I walk up to our room and knock on the door. "Hey, babe." Drew smiles as he opens the door. "Hey!" I kiss him. "You seem happier. Are you okay?" he asks. "Yeah. I'm better." I say. "Are we still going to Ireland?" he asks and pulls me into his arms.

I look up into his eyes and wrap my arms around his neck. "They don't want me there." I whisper. "I don't know if they do. But I know one person who does." he says. "Who?" I ask. "Your dad." he whispers. I don't know what the cause of this is, but I begin to bawl.

Drew gently rocks us and tries to calm me as he rubs my back and whispers kind things in my ear.

Once I calm down, we go and sit down on the couch to watch T.V. and for me to tell him about my day.

I was telling him about Lucy, how she excepted me and being adopted by the boys, how we became good friends and how we went shopping. Out of nowhere we hear a loud crash. "MAX!" I yell and run into his room, with Drew behind me.

We walk in seeing him with a piece of broken glass in his hands and blood dripping off of his hands. "Max! What are you doing? Are you okay?" I ask running over to him, trying to carefully take the glass out of his hands.

"Get away from me!" he yells pushing me on the ground. "Woah, woah, woah! You cannot just push her down on the floor like that!" Drew says walking towards Max. "I can do whatever I want." he growls.

"What is wrong with you? You never act like this!" I say and stand up, Drew protectively holding my hand. "I'm so sick of you two! I'm done!" Max says and picks up a vase that isn't broken yet and goes to throw it. I throw myself in front of him, letting go of Drew's hand and stopping the vase from leaving his hands.

"Look at me, Max. You need to calm down." I say and look into his eyes. "Drew, let me talk to him." I say and look at Drew. He hesitates for a minute and then leaves the room and gently closes the door.

"Put the vase down?" I ask him. He nods and puts it on the dresser. "Now what's wrong?" I ask as I sit down on the bed, hoping he'll follow me, but he doesn't.

"I'm sick of you two together." he says. "Wait, what?" I ask. "I'm sick of you and Drew acting all couply and cute and it makes me want to kill myself." he growls. "Why?" I ask him.

"Cammy, there's something I haven't told you." he says. "What?" I ask.

"In high school I had a girlfriend. Her name was Cassie and she was perfect. She was everything I ever wanted in a girl. We dated for six years and were in love. I even proposed to her. She said yes. She was getting all excited and planning out all of the details. Her parents loved me and my parents loved her. It was a perfect fairytale." he starts. "Why do you keep saying 'was'?" I ask nervously.

"One night we went to a crazy college party. At one part of the night, we got separated, but we were too drunk to realize we should go find each other. She sent me a text saying she was heading home with one of her friends. I blew it off and kept partying. When I woke up the next morning, I was on the kitchen floor of the house were the party was. I looked up at my phone and saw that I had a million texts and phone calls. I called the first number I saw which was Cassie's mom. She said I needed to come to the hospital as soon as I can." he says and sits down next to me.

"When I came, it was too late. Turns out her friend wasn't sober enough to drive. A head on collision killed them both in seconds." he whispers. At this point he's sobbing now. "Max." I say and put my hand on his shoulder, but he moves his shoulder so my hand isn't on it anymore. "I'm so sor-" I start but he cuts me off.

"Seeing you and Drew always happy together kills me. I'm sick of it." he says. "Max, I'm really sorry about Cassie. I am. I know it's hard for you to see happy couples but I can't help being with Drew. You need to get over Cassie. I understand she'll always be a part of your life, but you need to move on and look for someone else. And I'm going to help you find someone else, I promise. Okay?" I say.

"I'm sorry, Cammy! You're being so nice to me and I'm being really rude to you by pushing you on the ground and yelling at you. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." he says and falls into my arms. "You and Drew are the cutest couple I've ever seen and I'm sorry for being mean to you two." he says and I put my arms around him as he puts his face in my neck, soaking it with his tears. "Shh. It's okay. I'm going to help you through this, okay?" I say and he nods his head in my neck.

"Hey, I'm sorry to interrupt, but Trevor is here and he says it's urgent." Drew says coming in. Max lets go of me and wipes his tears. I give a sympathetic smile towards Max and he thanks me.

"Trevor, what's up?" I ask hugging him.

"Cammy, I know where mom and dad are buried." he says.
