Intrusion: The World Upon Downside!

Why, why; why! Do I have to suffer something so paranormal? So unusual; it’s like earth is fighting back, yet now it is trying to redeem its true title. I feel like the balance between everyone has had a massive drop. The balance in humanity has lost against a stronger force. The final balance between civilizations has been lifted. Most of the natural disasters upon us are causing more destruction than ever before.
I have to sit here, day by day; watching the sun go down; yet to us, it is going up. The whole world is going up in a single spark; flames will erupt with corruption on earth. The world we once knew has become a hell hole; a dimension, a new planet has begun to grow from beneath us. Yet to us; it feels like it’s growing upon us. From above; the ground shakes, roars breaking down our trees. Separating us from each-other, leaving us with what the dinosaurs ended with.

4. The Stranger Arrives

After seeing such madness in our kitchen; most of the hallways were covered in broken glass. Passing past the kitchen along with the bathroom; I had to know if father is okay. Approaching father’s room with no sound; it was the only way to be sure no one else is in the apartment. The front door had glass panes on the edge of falling out.

My heart’s beat began to slow down; I was not sure if I felt safe or just intimidated. I wanted safety obviously; my mind was elsewhere; while my heart could not stand the trouble we’re in. Father’s door was on its hinges; seems that the kids also stolen some bolts. Most of the door frame looked badly damaged; while a lot of dirt was smeared over the walls.

I slowly walked a few steps inside father’s room. No snoring or no sound; I wasn’t quite sure what is going on. Before I could take an extra step into the room; a mysterious hand grabbed me by my left shoulder. I was not sure who it was; until I was pulled inside the room; not sure whether father is okay. The hand’s owner must have a lot of muscle; since he almost dislocated my shoulder.

“I knew it... I knew someone was in this house hold; you must be looking for your father” a voice whispered into my ear.

“Yes, I am not sure why you haven’t just killed me...” I replied with no faith anymore.

I turned to face whoever it was; to my surprise it was a female. At first the voice was sort of very quiet, most of the time I couldn’t really tell if it was a boy or a girl. Yet when she had spoken back to me with a normal tone; I was certain she was a female.

“Killing you would a little too easy, don’t you think? Why would you even presume I’m a killer?” She replied while looking directly into my eyes.

I couldn’t tell if she was being flirty; her movement was very different to my previous girl encounters. Yet I could tell she meant no harm, well almost... I looked at her; as she looked at me, the only difference was; she had me in her grip. Either way she can finish me or even just let go of me; I wasn’t sure if I could trust this stranger; I mean yeah, she is the same age as me.

“Well, I’m glad you’re not one of them; I was expecting one of the boys to catch me or something” I replied with a smile of relief.

“Oh, so you too have encountered those fiends? The lads who trash houses why haven’t you moved?” She replied in a soft tone; yet the shock on her face was awkward.

Just as we were about to speak; I heard footsteps outside the apartment. Seems like we have company or it could be just a person returning to their apartment. That was the problem with living in a building shared by families and some friends. Yet I could never tell if it was safe or a threat.

“Never mind what I said before, I need to get going; I suggest you move too” she replied while no longer looking at me; she had moved so quickly, my mind just imagined she was still holding onto me, not letting me go; yet she did in reality.

Before I could thank her for not killing me; she had left the room, her eyes were blue from what I remembered; sort of like my mum’s. She also had such a great way of flirting; I guess I’m in love. Then again, she still felt like a threat to me; she felt like a puzzle piece not fitting... mysterious stranger; yet female who act like a stealthy person. She had shocked me at that point.

Since I was now free from her clutches; I decided to go inspect father’s room. Thankfully he was sitting there; his arms on the sides of the chair; I could see him looking so peaceful. It had been quite some time since the robbery; so it felt right to finally wake him. Letting him know that we are safe; felt more reassuring to me rather than what father’s reaction maybe.

I approached with no sudden movement; while gently nudging his left arm. I had to whisper since he gets very grouchy from sleep disturbance. It made sense to keep him at ease; his had a day that only mother would find freaky. We would find it sort of normal; yet a little scarier, maybe shocking too. Father finally opened his eyes; I could see that he was alive. So grateful too; he filled me with embrace the moment he had awoken; I just hoped he would remember what had happened before he slept on this comfy chair.

“S-son, oh I see; must have dosed off, I’m sorry son. I never really expected you to wake me” father whispered while lifting himself of the ditch in his seat.

“Oh, I see you wanted to find this guy? Well he was sleeping here while I searched the place” a voice replied; sounded very soft toned.

The face on father, he looked shocked. I turned around to see who it may have been; I had my guesses. The voice already sounded familiar to my last encounter; which weren’t too long ago. The fact she had returned; it had shocked me, father looked more shocked though. Before I could explain who she is; father had stood up.

“W-what are you doing in our home?!” Father shouted; as he held a lampshade aiming it at the female.

“I suggest you drop that sir; either way, this place could get even messier if you don’t” she replied, her voice was still soft toned; yet she even makes threats sound cute.

Father usually would have lost his temper; yet for some reason he dropped the lampshade. This is the moment when I had become more shocked with father’s actions towards this girl. I placed my left hand on my father’s shoulder, gently applying pressure. As he sat down back on his seat; he had gone from grumpy to some strange emotion.

“S-son get this girl a coffee; after-all I feel that she means no harm” father replied; it sounded like he was in a trance. Yet he weren’t, judging from the way he looked at her too; I could tell that the girl reminded him of mum. Maybe a little more feisty though.

“O-okay dad; just make sure she doesn’t try anything” I whispered; I still didn’t know if I can trust this girl. She was a complete stranger; yet father can’t see what danger we could be in.
