Intrusion: The World Upon Downside!

Why, why; why! Do I have to suffer something so paranormal? So unusual; it’s like earth is fighting back, yet now it is trying to redeem its true title. I feel like the balance between everyone has had a massive drop. The balance in humanity has lost against a stronger force. The final balance between civilizations has been lifted. Most of the natural disasters upon us are causing more destruction than ever before.
I have to sit here, day by day; watching the sun go down; yet to us, it is going up. The whole world is going up in a single spark; flames will erupt with corruption on earth. The world we once knew has become a hell hole; a dimension, a new planet has begun to grow from beneath us. Yet to us; it feels like it’s growing upon us. From above; the ground shakes, roars breaking down our trees. Separating us from each-other, leaving us with what the dinosaurs ended with.

10. The Sky Becomes Clear...

If you could hold onto that one dream; the dream you imagined would never come true. Whisper it into the palm of your hand, slowly thinking about what you had lost so far. If you hold onto it for long enough; everything shall become clear...

Not knowing what might happen, if only Amy could have stayed loyal through our entire journey.

*** 2 Hours Later ***

“Ben, take care of this kid will you?” Ben whispered to himself; hiding his phone in his left pocket.

It’s been quite a while since I heard Amy scream; yet I still hear her calling my name, in the darkness... maybe she awaits something never to be expected. Everything was soon going to flash before my eyes, until I realised that Ben had lost his mind.

“Ben, you don’t need to do this” I tried to negotiate.

“Oh really, do you think that it’s me who wants to do this? Do you think that I would do such a thing to hassle your love life?” Ben mumbled; holding his head between his hands.

The look on his face; it’s so hard to explain, I could see through him. Inside of his mind, I sensed that he may have a fear for something worse, yet Joey seems to be discussing plans with him. Surely there is something that Ben is doing; allowing Joey to plan ahead; I weren’t certain...

“W-well Ben, tell me then, who is it? Tell me who the heck is talking to you; who else is called Ben in this room?” I spoke down to Ben, finally gathering the upper hand; maybe enough to get the gun away from my head.

“Off-course, you don’t see him... he is the one twisting our minds... Joey told me okay, my own friend; he would never tell a lie, his plans are going to hell okay!” Ben said, his tone of voice slowly rising to a demonic tone.

“Sorry Ben, look... I know we don’t get on; your still wondering what’s going to happen. Well Joey wouldn’t tell a lie, then why are you hiding something from him?” I whispered.

Ben looked at me, at that moment I could see him freaking out. Until he finally lost his head; he swung for me, I tried to deflect the hit; it was so unexpected. He had me on the ground; I crawled for the drawers, trying to get some of the paperwork.

“N-no, look... That girl is the person who is stopping me; Joey is also in my way. Okay, these plans are more professional than Joey’s – the truth is... I am smarter than what I am showing!” Ben shouts; throwing his gun at my kneecap.

“Ah, what are you crazy?!” I finally lost my temper; screaming from the pain I had been bottling up.

“No, I am not crazy... my father was though; he was a twisted man, dealt drugs just to gather a weapon to shoot his own family with...” Ben mumbled; yet he was being serious.

Ouch, that’s a lot of pain to go through; trusting people still questioned it. Whether I should trust this psychopath or not, I was still curious to what he had to say. I managed to hold the gun, aiming it towards Ben; still listening to his crying. Only he weren’t crying tears; he was spilling facts and emotions all at once. Throwing pain and suffering at me; Bens own pain along with my suffering.

“Then... as I grew up with him; learning from the big man, taking on the role of a mini man. I understood everything he taught me; finally using this to become something more. He told me never to study; yet I ignored him, his voice became too much in my head...” Ben screamed; throwing himself into the table.

The fact he had damaged himself; I felt a little sorry for him, like I said; is he telling the truth... before I could help him or even finish him. Amy burst through the door; I don’t understand how did she escape? Then again, questioning her seems to be getting us into more trouble.

“Karl, no thanks to you; I managed to escape Joey, he sort of got away though”, Amy replied; looking at me with a bruise on her eye. I nodded; too shocked to speak.

“Well I can see you dealt with Ben, ouch; that’s pretty brutal...” Amy looked at Ben; turning to face me with her reassured I dealt with Ben. Even though, Ben dealt with himself...

Amy grabbed me by my left wrist; with a lot of strength, she dragged me out of the room we were in. Before I could even ask where we were going; Joey had stood in-front of us. Everything about Ben so far, it was all proving that he was more of the smart one; just helping Joey’s intelligence.

“O-oh, where do you think you two are going? We haven’t even played in the arcade yet, have we?” Joey said in a shallow tone; nudging Amy into me.

We both looked at Joey, all around him were his thugs unconscious; must be the doing of Amy. Yet Joey still never seemed threatened; the fact we had taken out his guards. It clearly meant nothing to him; instead it ended up with Joey offering us a peace offering.

“Hold it, how about; we just settle this with a game of cards; or you could just leave... leaving me with nothing left!” Joey said, as his lips clashed together; he began to shout at us.

That is the Joey I was expecting all this time; he finally let his anger out, throwing himself at us. Amy looked up in disgust, spitting on his face. Amy nudged me; some reason I felt the need to kick. Kicking my right foot straight into Joey’s groin; Ouch that has got to be painful...

“O-o-o-ouch” Joey screamed; falling on his side, lowering his body to the ground full of knocked out henchmen.

Amy stood on Joey, crushing him into the ground; I just walked around him, seemed easier. The pressure Amy put on-to Joey looked too sickening; her smile reassured me though. We were now done with her old friends; it was time to look on forward, moving further into what we should of done. We walked into a room that had a small television.

“Breaking News, we found a mid-aged man unconscious earlier; he seemed to be running from the sky; well that’s what he was screaming at pass going travellers, until he collapsed half way near the rails of a railway station; folks said it is lucky that he never collapsed in the tracks”

The news was on; seemed we weren’t the only ones watching the news lately. Amy turned off the television before I could even see who the man may have been. Finally, Amy was showing her more greedy side; just like back in our school days. If anything; this would be how she got involved with gangs in the first-place. Greed and a sensation to destroy things, relationships; damn it!

“Karl, we are not watching the news; now when we have just had a heroic battle; taking down the old traitors. Feels good to finally get them off my back” Amy whispered; throwing the television remote into the window.

“Amy, that man; he could of been a relative; now I will never know who the heck it was” I cried; holding onto the arm-chair.

Amy ignored me, walking away towards the window she had smashed. Chaos weren’t over; seemed that more gangs have started to display themselves; crime didn’t mean anything to these young hooligans, they have pretty much taken what they wanted.

“Karl, I suggest we run; we haven’t seen the ending yet; you have no idea who Joey was partnered with” Amy replied; standing still near the broken window.

I finally found the courage to stand up, as I walked over to Amy; my heart began to beat a lot more than usual. I placed my left hand on Amy’s shoulder; reassuring her that the worst is over, Amy ignored me again; throwing me into the wall.

“Karl, don’t ever try to make me believe something, I know when it’s over, and this is not over!” Amy replied; holding a small knife to my rib.

“Okay, okay; calm down” I said, freaking out a little from Amy’s weapon.

She switched the weapon back into safety, placing it in her left pocket. I stood there against the wall; trying to figure out what Amy meant by something worse; before I was pushed to a wall by Amy; I managed to get a glimpse of the sky. Not only did the sky look like it was repelling into some sort of wave. I couldn’t believe that the world is rather coming to an end; or something is about to happen...

Either way, I weren’t too sure if I wanted to find out, Amy was still consistent on handing herself in to the leader. Who-ever this leader is, he or she seems to be striking a lot of fear into Amy. I walked back a few steps; trying to get another glimpse of the sky; Amy however, threw a small action figure at me.

“Ouch, Amy cut it out!” I replied; deflecting the rest of what she threw at me.

“Alright, sorry Karl; I am not going to be held responsible for the taking down of Joey” Amy whispered; I overheard her.

“Hey, no way am I going to stand as the one who did this; you need to say no to them; it’s simple!” I shouted; finally losing my temper at her.

“Well Karl, if it’s so simple; why you don’t talk to him then!” Amy screamed; placing her arms around my neck; it felt like she was trying to choke me.

Amy began to dial a number using her other hand; forcefully holding the phone to my left ear. I tried to break out of her submission; yet she was pretty strong when she wanted to be. Instead I let her hold me; even if it did mean having to speak to a jerk that is stronger than Joey, so they say...

“Yes, who is this; no wait, Amy?!” An unrecognised voice spoke to me; shouting Amy’s name.

“E-eek...” I flinched; trying to keep my mouth closed.

“Amy, if this is you; you have ten seconds to pack your bags; leaving this place behind or else...” The unfamiliar voice shouted; sending a threatening image to me.

Amy heard her notification on her own phone; quickly putting the call on hold; she checked through her messages. I was shocked with the image this person sent me; yet it was meant for Amy not me. Amy threw the phone at the wall; quickly grabbing me by the collar.

“Do you have any idea on what this guy has done, he has my family!” Amy screamed; it was a bit of shock to find out that one of her family member’s is still alive.
